Specification

FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates generally to the field of sports for sensing foot touch. More specifically, this invention relates to a system and its mechanism for sensing foot on line in field/court game specifically for the game of kabaddi.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Kabaddi is one of the most popular sports in India, played mainly among people in villages. It is regarded as a team-contact sport as a recreational form of combat training. Two teams occupy opposite halves of a small field and take turns sending a raider into the other half, in order to win points by tagging/wrestling members of the opposing team; the raider then tries to return to his own half while holding his breath and chanting "kabaddi, kabaddi, kabaddi" during the whole raid.
There are 4 forms of kabaddi played in India are Amar, Suranjeevi, Huttuttoo, and Gaminee. Amar is generally played in Punjab, Haryana, America, Canada, and other parts of the world, mostly by Punjabi sportsmen. Suranjeevi is the most played form of kabaddi in India and the world. This is the form used in international matches generally and played in Asian Games. Huttuttoo was played by men in Maharashtra State.
(Ref: - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kabaddi_in_India)
We limit our invention to the forms of kabaddi that uses rubber/floor mat for playing it. As national style kabaddi that is played on rubber floor/mat while amar style or it is said as Punjabi style is played on normal soft soil ground.
Various lines in kabaddi court are:
Mid Line: The line that divides the play court into two halves is known as the mid-line.
Baulk Line: Each of the lines in court parallel to the midline is known as baulk line.
Back line: It is end boundary line of the court.
Bonus Line (Black colour): The line parallel to Baulk line towards end line is known as Bonus line.

Problem in existing method of umpire/referee decision making:
While raiding in kabaddi the opposite team player should not go out of the court boundaries and should not even keep his foot on boundary lines. The raider as well as defenders should not enter in lobby till player raider touches them by rule. But while playing the game it has been observed that many times the player touches the back line and yellow lobby line and the referee who stands behind, sometimes is not able to see that the player has touched the black line. This may result in a wrong decision and thereby in a loss of point of opposite team which may sometimes result in losing the match. Most of the times, referee is confused whether the player has touch the back line or not. As umpire/referee has to check for both the feet of raider (one who enters the court of opponent) at the same time. Sometimes the decision may go wrong as it is based on the visual as perceived by the umpire. The umpire may thus take a decision which is actually not right. Therefore, in most of the cases, the raider is not satisfied with the referee/umpire decision. A T.V umpire review is asked for in such a situation and that creates nuisance and un- necessary wastage of time. Sometime it is even difficult for T.V umpire to make decision correctly as again it is based on visual as perceived and not the real time effect.
Innovative approach proposed by the inventor
In the present invention, the inventor has analyzed that the problem of wrong decision arises and came up with an innovative approach so that fair play can be done by technological methods rather than dependent on human visual perceptions. So the inventor has developed mechanism for sensing foot on line in sports field/court specifically for game of ‘Kabaddi’. This floor/mat contains sensors fixed under the lines of the floor/mat of the kabaddi court that sense the position of the player. Correspondingly, an indication lamp glow along with alarm that indicates the position of the player’s on the back line or raider on the yellow line which may help the umpire take an easy decision. So a lamp of different color glows along with alarm when foot is kept on back and yellow line. Therefore the umpire sees different colors and can easily take a decision on points based on the alarm or light seen by him in real time.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The inventor of the present inventor has developed a mechanism for sensing foot on line in field/court game specifically for the game of kabaddi. It consists of stainless steel Strips (1) for switching, springs (2) that provides sensitive touch sensation when line (Back line (8) or yellow line/yellow lobby (9)) is touched or pressed, Insulators (3) in between springs (2) and strips (1), Alarm (5) and an indication lamp (6) that provides indication that line is pressed, wires (4) for signals transferring and linking different components of the system. A DC supply (7) is provided for powering this mechanism.
Working of the present invention:
1. The mechanism works when any player in the game (Kabaddi) keeps foot on the line.
2. Normally, the mechanism is in OFF state but as and when the player foot is on the line, the strips (1) are pressed.
3. As the strips (1) press, it puts pressure on the spring (2) that contracts and changes the state of the mechanism to ON mode.
4. Being in ON mode the signal is given in the form of alarm and indication lamp.
This mechanism is put under the yellow line/yellow lobby and under back line on both side of kabaddi court. The mechanism is so sensitive that even if some part of the shoes/foot is kept on the line the mechanism give the signal. So the inventor has developed a low cost and efficient mechanism for sensing touch of foot on yellow line and back line on the kabaddi court.
NOVELTY
The novelty of the present invention lies in disclosing a mechanism for sensing foot on line in field/court game specifically for the game of kabaddi. The problem that occurs is that the fair decision of line touch by foot is not given because the players moves so fast that even sometimes the referees cannot see whether the player kept his/her foot on the line or not. So the inventor has provided a technological solution that provides easy indication to referee for the foot touch of player on the line.

INVENTIVE STEP
The inventor has analysed the problem of decision making by the on field referees that the line touch by foot of the player has occurred or not. The inventor has fixed a sensing mechanism exactly under the touch lines on floor/mat of the kabaddi court. The sensing mechanism includes two stainless steel strips between which sensitive springs are fixed that on pressing provides signal of the touch of the foot on the line by the player. Thus the invention saves the game time and also fair and correct decision is given by the referee.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION
It has a huge industrial application in the field of sports/games. As accurate decision and fair play is the motive of any sports. Thus the present invention provides easy and correct decision making for the referee and for morale of the players. Moreover being a very cost effective and simple mechanism it is easy to implement and market.
