Abstract: A method and apparatus for interaction is disclosed. The apparatus includes a demographic capturing module 102 configured to receive at least one demographic information, a memory 106 for storing a plurality of demographic information corresponding to a plurality of onlookers categorized with a specific attribute, a display module 110 for displaying a plurality of dynamic content, a processor 104 is used for pre-process the received at least one demographic information, compare the received at least one demographic information with similar demographic information, and run, the plurality of dynamic content on the display module 110. The method including, receiving at least one demographic information by a demographic capturing module 102, storing, by a memory 106, a plurality of demographic information, comparing the received at least one demographic information with similar demographic information by a processor 106, and displaying a plurality of identified content by a display module 110. Claims:We Claim,
1. An apparatus for interaction comprising:
a demographic capturing module 102, configured to receive at least one demographic information of at least one onlooker from a plurality of onlookers;
a memory 106, connected to the demographic capturing module 102, which stores a plurality of demographic information corresponding to the plurality of onlookers categorized with a specific attribute and configured to add geolocation to the received at least one demographic information of the at least one onlooker if information about onlooker exists in the apparatus or create a new entry with the geolocation information for the onlooker;
a display module 110, wherein the display module 110 is configured to display a content either in a static state or a dynamic state; and
a processor 104, connected to the memory 106 configured to;
pre-process the received at least one demographic information;
compare the received at least one demographic information with similar demographic information stored in the memory 106 to either identify the at least one onlooker or notify inability to uniquely identify the at least one onlooker;
identify, based on the specified attributes, a plurality of dynamic content;
run, the plurality of dynamic content on the display module 110;
characterized in that the demographic capturing module 102 searches for the at least one onlooker with the specified attribute through either a fixed field of view or initiate movement of the display module 110 towards the at least one looker, in case there is match between the at least one demographic information and the specified attribute.

2. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the demographic capturing module 102 is either a fixed camera or a movable camera.

3. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the demographic capturing module 102 is connected to an actuator 108 to move the display module 110 in the direction of the onlooker.

4. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of demographic information is anyone of a specific age, gender, ethnicity, height.

5. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the static state is a fixed display, and the dynamic state is a movable/rotatable display.

6. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the display module 110 is mounted on a servo motor 112 which is also connected with the processor 104, and the servo motor 112 moves/rotates as per instructions from the processor 104 to control the movement/rotation of the display module 110.

7. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the processor 104;
identifies the onlooker;
updates/modifies the identified attributes and weightages of the onlooker with new information;
applies various permutations on a set of data; and
makes changes in the identified attributes and weightages.

8. The apparatus as claimed in claim 7, wherein the set of data is a remotely stored data or a localized data stored in the memory 106.

The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the processor 104 associates the similar attributes to the onlooker demographic information by verifying the specific attributes of the similar demographic information stored in the memory 106 upon the unsuccessful identification of the at least one onlooker.

10. The apparatus as claimed in claim 1, wherein the display module 110 is anyone of a display board, a display screen, a billboard display, an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) display, a projector screen.

11. A method for interaction comprising:
receiving, by a demographic capturing module 102, at least one demographic information of at least one onlooker from a plurality of onlookers;
storing, by a memory 106, a plurality of demographic information corresponding to the plurality of onlookers categorized with a specific attribute and configured to add geolocation to the received at least one demographic information of the at least one onlooker if information about onlooker exists in the apparatus or create a new entry with the geolocation information for the onlooker;
comparing, by a processor 106, the received at least one demographic information with similar demographic information stored in the memory 106 to either identify the at least one onlooker or notify inability to uniquely identify the at least one onlooker; and
displaying, by a display module 110, a plurality of identified content either in a static state or a dynamic state, characterized in that the demographic capturing module 102 searches for the at least one onlooker with the specified attribute through either a fixed field of view or initiate movement of the display module 110 towards the at least one looker, in case there is match between the at least one demographic information and the specified attribute.

12. The method as claimed in claim 11, wherein the demographic capturing module 102 is either a fixed camera or a movable camera.

13. The method as claimed in claim 11, wherein the demographic capturing module 102 is connected to an actuator to move the display module 110 in the direction of the onlooker.

14. The method as claimed in claim 11, wherein the plurality of demographic information is anyone of a specific age, gender, ethnicity, height.

15. The method as claimed in claim 11, wherein the static state is a fixed display, and the dynamic state is a movable/rotatable display.

16. The method as claimed in claim 11, wherein the display module 110 is mounted on a servo motor 112 which is also connected with the processor 104, and the servo motor 112 moves/rotates as per instructions from the processor to control the movement/rotation of the display module 110.

17. The method as claimed in claim 11, wherein the processor 104;
identifies the onlooker;
updates/modifies the identified attributes and weightages of the onlooker with new information;
applies various permutations on a set of data; and
makes changes in the identified attributes and weightages.

18. The method as claimed in claim 17, wherein the set of data is a remotely stored data, or a localized data stored in the memory 106.

The method as claimed in claim 11, wherein the processor 104 associates the similar attributes to the onlooker demographic information by verifying the specific attributes of the similar demographic information stored in the memory 106 upon the unsuccessful identification of the at least one onlooker.

20. The method as claimed in claim 11, wherein the display module 110 is anyone of a display board, a display screen, a billboard display, an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) display, a projector screen.
, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001] The present disclosure is generally related to displaying the content according to demographic information of an onlooker and more particularly to an apparatus and a method for selectively displaying content on a display module based on a plurality of demographic information corresponding to the plurality of onlookers categorized with a specific attribute in order to provide more enhanced and specific dynamic content for an individual user, thereby increasing user satisfaction.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] The demographic targeting is one of the standard options in most online and offline advertising systems. There are many ways of targeting online advertisements by using demographic information by using a demographic variable. The traditional approach of displaying advertisements is commissioned through a broadcast model. The broadcasting is done through television, radio, billboard, magazine, or newspapers. This broadcast model is based on a very large segment of the population.
[0003] Companies are constantly looking for new ways to better advertise their products or services. The conventional online-offline interaction method is not cost-effective, is irrelevant to some portion of the population. In this method, the companies face many problems in targeting specific customers like creating attention-seeking advertisements for people of different age groups. This method fails in influencing enough people with the advertisement.
[0004] US20180232770A1 discloses a billboard display system selectively displays advertising to occupants in one or more vehicles approaching a billboard display located near a roadway. The billboard display system receives each of a number of occupants, demographic information for occupants, and vehicle position information from interior occupant sensing systems of one or more vehicles approaching the billboard display. A display controller of the billboard display system processes the demographic information and number of occupants to determine advertising relevant to occupants, and selectively displays relevant advertising with the billboard display to occupants of approaching vehicles.
[0005] Conventionally, there exist various methods and apparatuses for interaction. However, in order to achieve the objective, a processor is used to work on a set of data (i.e. available on e-commerce or in memory) by a method of comparison with the received at least one demographic information of an onlooker.
[0006] In order to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks, there is a need to provide an apparatus that is an enhancement to the conventional apparatus. This apparatus is capable of displaying a plurality of dynamic content in the direction of an onlooker by a displaying module in order to increase the purchasing intent according to the customer's need. Hence it reduces customer's time investment in online and offline window shopping.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
[0007] The principal object of the present invention is to overcome the disadvantage of the prior art.
[0008] Another object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus that helps in providing ease of selection of products by displaying the relevant dynamic content related to customer’s choice.
[0009] Another object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus that helps in displaying the dynamic content and that too in the direction of the onlooker.
[0010] Another object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus that helps in developing or increasing the purchasing intent of the customers.
[0011] Another object of the present invention is to provide an apparatus that is quick and responsive.
[0012] Another object of the present invention is to provide a scalable/versatile apparatus that may add multiple features/accessories with minimal changes in the apparatus.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0013] The present invention relates to a multipurpose apparatus used for displaying dynamic content on a display module in an automated and convenient manner. It reduces the customer’s time and effort which they invest in comparing the products, finding the best suitable products as per their needs. The apparatus does that by displaying the specific advertisement to the specific customer according to a plurality of demographic information.
[0014] According to an embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for interaction comprising a demographic capturing module to receive at least one demographic information that is anyone of a specific age, gender, ethnicity, height of at least one onlooker from a plurality of onlookers by a demographic capturing module which is either a fixed camera or a movable camera, wherein the demographic capturing module is connected to an actuator to move the display module in the direction of the onlooker, a memory connected to the demographic capturing module which stores a plurality of demographic information corresponding to the plurality of onlookers categorized with a specific attribute and configured to add geolocation to the received at least one demographic information of the at least one onlooker if information about onlooker exists in the apparatus or create a new entry with the geolocation information for the onlooker, a display module configured to display a content either in a static state or a dynamic state, wherein the static state is a fixed display, and the dynamic state is a movable/rotatable display.
[0015] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for interaction further comprising, a processor connected to the memory configured to pre-process the received at least one demographic information, compare the received at least one demographic information with similar demographic information stored in the memory to either identify the at least one onlooker or notify inability to uniquely identify the at least one onlooker, Identify a plurality of dynamic content, and run the plurality of dynamic content on the display module, characterized in that the demographic capturing module searches for the at least one onlooker with the specified attribute through either a fixed field of view or initiate movement of the display module towards the at least one looker, in case there is match between the at least one demographic information and the specified attribute, wherein the display module is mounted on a servo motor which is also connected with the processor, and the servo motor moves/rotates as per instructions from the processor to control the movement/rotation of the display module.
[0016] According to another embodiment of the present invention, a method for interaction comprising, receiving at least one demographic information that is anyone of a specific age, gender, ethnicity, height of at least one onlooker from a plurality of onlookers by a demographic capturing module which is either a fixed camera or a movable camera, wherein the demographic capturing module is connected to an actuator to move the display module in the direction of the onlooker, storing, by a memory, a plurality of demographic information corresponding to the plurality of onlookers categorized with a specific attribute and configured to add geolocation to the received at least one demographic information of the at least one onlooker if information about onlooker exists in the apparatus or create a new entry with the geolocation information for the onlooker, comparing the received at least one demographic information with similar demographic information stored in the memory to either identify the at least one onlooker or notify inability to uniquely identify the at least one onlooker by a processor, and displaying a plurality of identified content either in a static state i.e. a fixed display or a dynamic state i.e. a movable/rotatable display by a display module, wherein the display module is mounted on a servo motor which is also connected with the processor, and the servo motor moves/rotates as per instructions from the processor to control the movement/rotation of the display module.

[0025] Fig.1 illustrates a line diagram of an apparatus 100, according to an embodiment of a present invention. The apparatus 100 includes a demographic capturing module 102, a memory 106 connected to the demographic capturing module 102, a display module 110, and a processor 104 connected to the memory 106.
[0026] According to an embodiment of the invention, the demographic capturing module 102 is configured to receive at least one demographic information of at least one onlooker from a plurality of onlookers, wherein the demographic information is anyone of a specific age, gender, ethnicity, height. The demographic capturing module 102 is either a fixed camera or a movable camera. The camera 102 is further connected to an actuator 108 to move the display module 110 in the direction of the onlooker. The demographic capturing module 102 is a multi-camera system that includes interior and exterior cameras. The camera 102 is positioned with the display module 110 for capturing multiple images of the onlooker in order to transmit it.
[0027] According to an embodiment of the invention, the apparatus 100 further includes the memory 106 which is used for storing stores a plurality of demographic information corresponding to the plurality of onlookers categorized with a specific attribute and configured to add geolocation to the received at least one demographic information of the at least one onlooker if information about onlooker exists in the apparatus 100. If information about the onlooker is not available in the apparatus 100 then the memory 106 creates a new entry with the geolocation information for the onlooker. The memory 106 may be an onboard memory or maybe a remote memory. The memory 106 is utilized to store various data like the demographic information of the plurality of onlookers with the specific attributes and geolocation.
[0028] According to an embodiment of the invention, the apparatus 100 further includes the display module 110 for displaying content either in a static state or a dynamic state. The static state is a fixed display, and the dynamic state is a movable/rotatable display. According to an embodiment of the invention, the display module 110 is mounted on a servo motor 112 for moving/rotating the display module 110 as per instructions from the processor 104, wherein the display module110 is anyone of a display board, a display screen, a billboard display, an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) display, a projector screen.

In case of the unsuccessful identification of at least one onlooker, the processor 104 associates the similar attributes to the onlooker demographic information by verifying the specific attributes of the similar demographic information stored in the memory 106.
[0030] Fig.2 illustrates a block diagram 200 of a processor 104, according to an embodiment of the present invention. The processor 104 is configured to identify the at least one onlooker, as shown in block 202, update or modify the identified attributes and weightages of the onlooker with new information, as shown in block 204, apply various permutations on a set of data, as shown in block 206, wherein the set of data is a remotely stored data or a localized data stored in the memory 106, and make changes in the identified attributes and weightages, as shown in block 208.
[0031] Fig. 3 illustrates a flow chart depicting a method 300, according to an embodiment of the invention. At block 302, a demographic capturing module 102 is placed for receiving at least one demographic information that is anyone of a specific age, gender, ethnicity, height of at least one onlooker from a plurality of onlookers, wherein the demographic capturing module is either a fixed camera or a movable camera and is connected to an actuator 108 to move the display module 110 in the direction of the onlooker, a memory 106 is connected to the demographic capturing module 102 for storing a plurality of demographic information corresponding to the plurality of onlookers categorized with a specific attribute and configured to add geolocation to the received at least one demographic information of the at least one onlooker if information about onlooker exists in the apparatus or create a new entry with the geolocation information for the onlooker, as shown in block 304, a processor 104 is configured to compare the received at least one demographic information with similar demographic information stored in the memory 106 to either identify the at least one onlooker or notify inability to uniquely identify the at least one onlooker, as shown in block 306 and a display module 110 for displaying a plurality of identified content either in a static state i.e. a fixed display or a dynamic state i.e. a movable/rotatable display, as shown in block 308, wherein the display module 110 is mounted on a servo motor 112 which is also connected with the processor 104, and the servo motor 112 moves/rotates as per instructions from the processor 104 to control the movement/rotation of the display module 110.
