Method And System For Calculating Fare In A Moving Vehicle
Abstract: A method and system for calculating a fare in a moving vehicle using a mobile communication device is provided. The method includes calculating a threshold acceleration using the mobile communication device. Further, the method includes determining a net acceleration. The method includes determining a waiting time and also includes calculating a distance of travel of the moving vehicle. Furthermore, the method includes calculating a fare of a travel based on the distance of travel and the waiting period. The system for calculating a fare in a moving vehicle includes an accelerometer for determining the acceleration. The system also includes a distance calculating module for calculating a distance of travel of the moving vehicle. The system includes a timer for determining a waiting time during the travel. Further, the system includes a fare calculation module for calculating the fare based on the distance of travel and the waiting time.
