Method And System For Cross Engine Debris Avoidance

Abstract: A propulsion system (300;400;500;600;700;800) for an aircraft (100) includes at least two propulsion engines (202,212). Each propulsion engine (202,212) rotates about a longitudinal rotational axis (206,216), and a propulsive fan (204,214) associated with each propulsion engine (202,212) rotates in a plane (208,218) perpendicular to the longitudinal rotational axis (206,216). Each plane (208,218) is at least one of spaced axially along a longitudinal axis (106) of the aircraft (100) and canted such that each plane (208,218) does not intersect any other plane (208,218) associated with another propulsion engine (202,212) and propulsive fan (204,214).
