I/We Claim:
1. A method for electronic communication using a visual image, the method being
performed by an electronic device using a processor (210), the method comprising:
associating one or more image areas corresponding to respective one or more subjects on the visual image with corresponding subject identifiers;
receiving an input, through an input device (235), corresponding to at least one of the subject identifiers associated with a respective image area on the visual image;
mapping at least one of the subject identifiers or subsets of the subject identifiers with corresponding matching entries in a collection of subject identifiers stored in a storage unit (120);
gathering contact information associated with the matching entries; and
initiating an electronic communication, using a link to a communication system, with one or more remote devices (110a, 11 On) of the one or more subjects associated with the subject identifiers using the contact information, in response to the input.
2. The method of claim 1 comprising:
providing one or more communication means using the contact information for establishing the electronic communication.
3. The method of claim 2, wherein the collection is a phonebook, a contact list, a
directory, and at least one of contact groups.

4. The method of claim 2 comprising:
mapping at least one of the entries and subsets of the entries in the collection with corresponding subject identifiers tagged in one or more visual images;
retrieving the one or more visual images corresponding to the entries; and presenting the one or more visual images on a display (230).
5. The method of claim 1 comprising:
mapping at least one of the subject identifiers and subsets of the subject identifiers with similar subject identifiers in one or more visual images stored in the storage unit (120);
retrieving the one or more visual images; and
presenting the one or more visual images on a display (230).
6. The method of claim 1 wherein the initiating comprises:
initiating of the electronic communication with a first subject of the one or more subjects based on an input received corresponding to the first subject;
applying time difference between the initiation of the electronic communication with the first subjects and the initiation of the electronic communication with a second subject of the one or more subjects; and
initiating of the electronic communication with the second subject after the initiation of the electronic communication with the first subject after time equivalent to the time difference has elapsed.

7. The method of claim 1 comprising:
coordinating a conference between the one or more subjects after the initiation of the electronic communication.
8. The method of claim 7, comprising:
detecting a time difference between the receipt of the input corresponding to at least two of the subject identifiers; and
coordinating the conference based on the detection.
9. An electronic device (105) comprising:
a communication interface (245) in electronic communication with one or more remote devices of one or more subjects respectively; a memory (215) for storing information; and a processor (210) responsive to the information to
associate one or more image areas corresponding to respective the one or more subjects on a visual image with corresponding subject identifiers;
receive an input, through an input device (235), corresponding to at least one of the subject identifiers associated with a respective image area on the visual image;
map at least one of the subject identifiers or subsets of the subject identifiers with corresponding matching entries in a collection of subject identifiers stored in a storage unit(120);
gather contact information associated with the matching entries; and

initiate the electronic communication with the one or more remote devices (110a, 11 On) of the one or more subjects associated with the subject identifiers using the contact information ,in response to the input corresponding to the subject identifiers.
10. The electronic device of claim 9 comprising:
a link to a communication system, and wherein the processor (210) is responsive to the information to initiate the electronic communication with the one or more subjects by directing at least one of short service message, an electronic mail, an instant message, a voice call, and a video call to the one or more remote devices through the link.
