Method And System For Separating A Gas Mixture

Abstract: The invention relates to a method (100) for separating a starting gas mixture (E) using pressure swing adsorption (10). In this method, at least part of a low-pressure extraction flow (L) from the pressure swing adsorption (10) is subjected to thermal separation (10), wherein a return fraction (R) is formed in the thermal separation (20), which return fraction is returned to the pressure swing adsorption separation (10). In the thermal separation (20), counter-flow cooling (21) takes place to obtain a two-phase mixture (M), wherein at least part of the two-phase mixture (M) is subjected to phase separation (22) to obtain a gas phase (V) and a condensate (C). At least part of the gas phase (V) is used for forming the return fraction (R) and the counter-flow cooling (21) is carried out using at least part of the gas phase (V) and at least part of one or more fluid flows (V', C') which are formed by expansion (23) of at least part of the liquid phase (C). The present invention also relates to a corresponding system.
