FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates generally to the field of electronic shopping and promotions, and more particularly to. a method and system wherein, from receipts to returns, from coupons to loyalty programs, from intents -deals to purchases, the User and retailers are provided a better shopping and business experience.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In today's time we have wallets, purses, pockets, drawers, and shoeboxes frill of plastic cards and paper receipts, and it is rather cumbersome to not only use this huge collection of loyalty cards and receipts, but also to keep track of them.
One may also find irritated by constant intrusions from the places where you shop, offering you promotions and discounts through mailers, flyers and discount coupons. Most of the time they don't suit your needs and it's cumbersome to store the offers in hard copy and keep them handy when you need them.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
As outlined above, a clear need exists for an efficient and quick a method and system wherein, from receipts to returns, from coupons to loyalty programs, from
intents -deals to purchases, the User and retailers are provided a better shopping and business experience.
The present invention eliminates the need to carry loyalty cards in wallet, store receipts for product returns, carry around paper coupons or keep track of promotions and discounts. The present invention provides a modern, powerful, easy and secure mobile and or internet based tool for the User's receipts, warranties, coupons, returns, loyalty programs and points management. Once the User registers, the User will be able to receive all these from within the User's system account created under the System of the present invention, and from any participating retailer. Once the User sets up an account, the User will be able to obtain digital receipts, return products, redeem coupons, and participate in retailers' loyalty programs using the User's ID. This aspect of the present invention eliminates paper clutter, lost receipts for product returns, the frustration of keeping track of discount coupons and plastic loyalty cards in the wallet, purse or key chain.
In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, the present invention helps the User to track shopping expenses and receipts. The features of the present invention make it easy for the User to organize, store and sort digital receipts. The present invention also enables the User to convert the statement of expenses into an excel sheet which the User can use for personal accounting or to email to the User's tax consultant.
In an aspect of the present invention, bank-level data security and industry-leading identity protection tools are used so that the customer profile and transaction history is safe, secure, and 100% confidential.
The tool provided by the present invention goes far beyond linking everything to the cards the User already carries in the wallet or purse. the system provided in the present invention allows retailers to create/design promotions and deals best suited for the User based on their past buying profile. The system's suggestions are unique to the User, as they're based on what the User typically purchases.
In accordance with the present invention, a User win get promotions designed for his needs and the User no longer needs to accumulate; coupons. The service enables the User's favorite retailers to send the User coupons which the user can easily keep track of and use. In accordance with the preferred embodiment of present invention, the User gets a mobile coupon [m-coupons] which the User can use in any way he wants. The User can select any offer of his choice and convert it into an m-coupon from within his system account as per the invention, enabling the User to show these m-coupons at his favorite retail store and avail the discounts offered.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is an entirely new way of doing things. From receipts to returns, from coupons to loyalty programs, and from intents-deals to purchases, the present invention is a new approach to an old, archaic, and frustrating process.
Wallet Management:
The present invention eliminates the need to carry loyalty cards in wallet, store receipts for product returns, carry around paper coupons or keep track of promotions and discounts. The present invention provides a modern, powerful, easy and secure mobile and or internet based tool for the User's receipts, warranties, coupons, returns, loyalty programs and points management. Once the User registers, the User will be able to receive all these from within the User's system account created under the System of the present invention, and from any participating retailer. Once the User sets up an account, the User will be able to obtain digital receipts, return products, redeem coupons, and participate in retailers' loyalty programs using the User's ID. This aspect of the present invention eliminates paper clutter, lost receipts for product returns, the frustration of keeping track of discount coupons and plastic loyalty cards in the wallet, purse or key chain.
In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, the present invention helps the User to track shopping expenses and receipts. Whichever the User chooses the User's purchase receipts from all participating retailers will accumulate and get posted into the User's account at the end of each day. All the User have to do every time the User buys something, is to make sure the User shows his mobile phone to the cashier and sees that the User's membership ID is entered, to link it to the User's purchase.

Promotions and Offers:
The tool provided by the present invention goes far beyond linking everything to the cards the User already carries in the wallet or purse. The system provided in the present invention allows retailers to create/design promotions and deals best suited for the User based on their past buying profile. The system's suggestions are unique to the User, as they're based on what the User typically purchases. For example, if the system sees the User likes a certain store, it might offer the User a coupon from them for "10% Off All Purchases of Rs.1000 or more". Or, if the User likes a certain product, it might show you a "Buy 1, Get 1 Free" coupon.
In accordance with the present invention, a User will get promotions designed for his needs and the User no longer needs to accumulate coupons. The service enables the User's favorite retailers to send the User coupons which the user can easily keep
track of and use. In accordance with the preferred embodiment of present invention, the User gets a mobile coupon [m-coupons] which the User can use in any way he wants. The User can select any offer of his choice and convert it into an m-coupon from within his system account as per the invention, enabling the User to show these m-coupons at his favorite retail store and avail the discounts offered.
System Components:
According to the present invention, the System has components including a Consumer portal, a retailer portal, a corporate portal, adaptors, a master data management component, analytical services component; and an optional mobile application component.

The System Architecture can be illustrated by Figure 2.
In accordance with another aspect of the present invention, the System can be accessed by a hand-held device including a mobile with the aid of a mobile application downloaded from the System web portal. The User is enabled to do all the acts with the aid of the mobile application. After registering with the System through web porta), registering and launching the System mobile application, the User can browse through available deals, view ID card, and make purchases from the mobile number.
In accordance with the present invention, the System comprises of a consumer portal, a retailer portal, a corporate portal, master data management server, analytical services server, processing engines and appropriate adaptors performing various functions comprising of master data management, points management, loyalty management, promotions management, spends management retail analytics and like. The System also comprises of mobile application for accessing the components of the System from a hand-held device.
In another aspect of the present invention, the System provides for a registration process,wherein the system requirement comprises of providing personal or official email address, and or mobile number (for mobile application) and the user is required to validate the email address and or the mobile number.
Registration:
The present invention provides the User options of individual, family or corporate account memberships.
Corporate Member:
In accordance with the present invention, on registering as a corporate consumer, the User can get notifications through e-mail about the available group offers
and discounts. After registering, the corporate consumer (user) can specify the personal information and register family members.
In an aspect of the present invention, corporate members can be offered group discounts and promotions by participating retailers for the products they buy frequently. These corporate members can also have the option of buying products of their choice at the price at which they wish to buy, by using "Make Your Own Deal" feature in the present invention. This can also offer opportunities for FREE rewards. Members generally can also choose to exercise home-delivery options on purchases specially offered to pre-determined members.
According to the preferred embodiment, the System provides for registering as a corporate and individual consumer, registering the family members, specifying personal and retailer information, creating mobile IDs, creating intents, and participating in intents and deals. This is included in the consumer portal of the Systems's web application.
A User - corporate employee registers and creates a corporate profile with the System to avail the corporate offers. This can be illustrated with the help of Figure 3. In accordance with the present invention, the corporate applicant clicks on the Gmail, Facebook, Yahoo, myspace, Linkedin, or Twitter icon on the Sign in Using link. The corporate applicant further enters his Gmail, Facebook, Yahoo, myspace, Linkedin, or Twitter account username and password. The System asks to share the personal e-mail account information. The corporate applicant clicks Share button to allow sharing of the information with the System's portal. The System opens the Corporate Membership
Details page as in Figure 3. The corporate applicant enters corporate and personal details, and clicks Submit button to save the information. For validation, the System sends an e-mail notification to the corporate e-mail address that is entered by the consumer or sends a validation code through SMS to the consumer's mobile number that is entered. The corporate applicant verifies the e-mail link sent to the corporate e-mail address. When the corporate applicant clicks the link that is sent to the corporate e-mail address, the System opens the corporate applicant's profile. The corporate applicant enters the validation code that is received on the mobile through SMS. When the corporate applicant enters the correct validation code, the System saves the corporate and personal details of the consumer. The System displays the Inbox notifications page.
On registering as a corporate consumer with the System, the consumer will get notifications through e-mail about the available group offers and discounts. After registering, the corporate consumer can specify the personal information and register family members. Individual Member:
An individual consumer registers and creates a primary membership profile with the System to avail the general offers. The consumer must have GMail, Facebook, Yahoo, myspace, Linkedin, or Twitter account. This can be illustrated with the help of Figure 4.
The consumer clicks on the GMail, Facebook, Yahoo, myspace, Linkedin, or Twitter icon on the Sign in Using link. The consumer enters his GMail, Facebook, Yahoo, myspace, Linkedin, or Twitter account username and password. The System asks to share the personal e-mail account information. The consumer clicks Share button to allow sharing of the information with the System's portal. The consumer enters personal details, and clicks Submit button to save the information. For validation, the System sends an e-mail notification to the personal e-mail address that is entered by the consumer or can send a validation code through SMS to the consumer's mobile number that is entered. The consumer verifies the e-mail link sent to the personal e-mail address. When the consumer clicks the link that is sent to the personal e-mail address, the System opens the consumer's profile. The consumer enters the validation code that is received on the mobile through SMS. When the consumer enters the correct validation code, the System saves the personal details of the consumer. The System displays the Inbox notifications page.
After registering in the System application as an individual consumer, the individual consumer will receive personalized deals based on the profile. The consumer can also avail facilities like warranties and subscriptions management. The individual consumer can specify the personal details and register family members. Family Member:
In accordance with the present invention, a user can register his family members to avail the group deals and collect loyalty points. The family member must be registered with the System as an individual consumer. After the User specifies the family member's details, the System connects the User's account with the family member's account. The User thus forms a group or network, and avail group discounts as well as collect and redeem group loyalty points.
This can be illustrated by Figure 5. The consumer clicks on the Family on the Inbox notification page. The consumer enters family Member's personal details, and clicks save button to save the information. For validation, the system sends an e-mail notification to the family member's e-mail address that is entered by the consumer or sends a validation code through SMS to the family member's mobile number that is entered. The family member accepts the request by verifying the validation link sent to member's personal e-mail address. When the family member clicks the link that is sent to the personal e-mail address, the System connects the profiles of family member and consumer.
After the consumer specifies the family member's details, the System application connects the consumer's account with the family member's account. The consumer thus forms a group or network, and avail grouo discounts as well as collect and redeem group loyalty points.
In accordance with the present invention, the User enters the personal information with the System to complete the profile information and to avail better deals. After the User enters the personal information in the system account, the User can receive notifications about the best deals based on the information provided.
Specifying the Personal Information
A consumer enters the personal information with the System to complete the profile information and to avail better deals. In accordance with the present invention, the consumer clicks the Personal Info tab on the Inbox notifications page. The System opens the Personal Information Details page. The consumer enters personal details, and clicks Save to save the information. The System saves the personal information of the consumer's profile and displays the Inbox notifications page. After the consumer enters the personal information in the System account, the consumer will receive e-mail notifications about the best deals based on the information provided.
Specifying the Retailer Information
At the time of registration or thereafter, the User is enabled to enter retailer's membership information with the system to avail better deals and offers from the selected retailers. After the User enters the retailer's information in the system account, the User can receive notifications about all the deals offered by the retailer. The User is enabled to participate, subscribe, or comment on the deals posted by the retailer.
This is illustrated by Figure 6. The consumer clicks the Retailers Membership Info tab on the Inbox notifications page. The System opens the Retailer Membership Details page. The consumer clicks the I have membership cards of retailers option. The consumer selects I want to have a mobile ID card for this retailer check box to request for a mobile ID card for the retailer. The consumer enters retailer's membership details, and clicks Add Card button to save the information. The System sends a verification request by e-mail to the specified retailer. When the retailer confirms the consumer's details and membership number, the system will save the retailer's information to the consumer's profile. If the consumer has requested for a mobile ID from the retailer, the system sends the mobile ID on the consumer's registered mobile number. The system displays the Inbox notifications page.
After the consumer enters the retailer's information in the KL1SMA account, the consumer will receive e-mail notifications about all the deals offered by the retailer. The consumer can participate, subscribe, or comment on the deals posted by the retailer. Creating the Mobile ID
Mobile ID card is an electronically-generated loyalty card delivered on consumer's registered mobile. The consumer can have separate mobile ID cards for each retailer, or a single System mobile ID card for all registered retailers.
Consumer creates the mobile ID with the System to request and get retailer's membership. The consumer can then use this mobile ID to avail the ongoing deals and to make purchases from the respective retailers.
This can be illustrated by Figure 7. The consumer clicks the Retailers Membership Info tab on the Inbox notifications page. The consumer clicks the I don't have membership cards of retailers option. The consumer selects the retailer from the Retailer's Name list, and clicks Create Mobile ID Card button to save the information. The System sends a membership request to the selected retailer. After the retailer accepts the request, the System will save the retailer's information to the consumer's profile. The System sends the mobile ID on the consumer's registered mobile number. The System displays the Inbox notifications page.
After creating a mobile ID card for the consumer, the System application will keep a log of consumer's retail membership details on its portal. The consumer will receive e-mail notifications about the best deals offered by the selected retailer. Intents by Users:
In an aspect of the present invention, a User can create intents (Intent is a request for services or products expressed by the User) with the System to publish the purchasing requests and get personalized offers from retailers. Other Users are also enabled to view the published intents, and then subscribe / participate to them to form a group. The retailers are further enabled to view the published intents, its subscribers,
and can bring a suitable offers and group discounts to consumers. In yet another aspect of the present invention, after the User publishes the intent, the intent details can appear on the Intents list in the System. Other Users and retailers can view the published intents and participate therein. The User is enabled to get a notification if any retailer makes an offer to the intent.
This is illustrated by Figure 8 & 9. The consumer clicks the My Deals tab on the Inbox notifications page. The System displays the My Deals page showing list of available deals. The consumer enters intent details, and clicks Publish My Intent button to save the information. The System populates the intent details, and then publishes it. The consumers and retailers view the newly created intent. The System displays the Inbox notifications page.
With respect to Figure 9, the consumer clicks the Intent tab on the Inbox notifications page. The system displays the Intents tab showing list of own intents and subscribed intents. The consumer expands the Create an Intent list, enters intent details, and clicks Publish My Intent button to save the information. The system populates the details and publishes the intent. The consumers and the retailers view the newly created intent. The system displays the published intent under the My Own Intents list in the Intents tab on Inbox notifications page. After a consumer publishes the intent, the intent details will appear on the Intents list in the System portal. Other consumers and
retailers can view the published intent. The consumer will get an e-mail notification if any retailer makes an offer to the intent. Participating in Intents
After subscribing to a published intent, the consumer can form a group or network, and then avail group discounts, and offers. A consumer participates in an intent with KLISMA to subscribe to other consumers' published intents. Based on the number of subscribers to intent, the retailer can see the intent, and then can offer group discounts to the consumer group. The use case gives the detailed information of participating in intents.
This is illustrated by Figure 10. The consumer clicks the Intents tab on the Inbox notifications page. The consumer sorts the intents based on categories and publishing date. The System populates the information and publishes the Other User Intents list. The consumer can view the intent details and linked deals. The consumer clicks the Subscribe button next to the published intent of choice to subscribe to the deal. The System subscribes the consumer to published intent. The System displays this subscribed intent in the My Subscribed Intents list under Intents tab. The consumer has participated and subscribed to the other consumer intents in the System account. If any retailer offers a deal to the subscribed intent, the consumer will get an e-mail notification about the deal.
Participating in Deals
The consumer can participate by subscribing to the published deal and by rating a deal. A consumer participates in deals with the System to subscribe to, or to comment on deals posted by retailers. The consumer will have to pay a nominal subscription fee if subscribed to a deal. After the required numbers of subscribers are met in the specified days limit, the System confirms and closes the deal. If the required number of subscribers is not achieved within the specified days limit, the System cancels and closes the deal, and refunds the subscription fee to the subscribed consumer.
This can be illustrated by Figures 10A, 10B, and 10C. With respect to Figure 10A, the consumer clicks the My Deals tab on the Inbox notifications page. The system displays the My Deals page showing a list of available deals. The consumer filters the deals by city, store, category, and published date. The system populates the information and publishes the filtered list of deals. The consumer clicks the Buy button to purchase the posted deal. After purchasing the deal, the consumer will have to pay a nominal fee to confirm the purchase. The system displays the Payment Details page. The consumer enters his personal information, billing information, expiry date, and shipping address, and then clicks Complete My Order button to save the details. The system displays the subscribed deal in the Your Purchase list under My Deals tab.
With respect to Figure 10B, the consumer clicks the My Deals tab on the Inbox notifications page. The system displays the My Deals page showing a list of available
deals. The consumer filters the deals by city, store, category, and published date. The system populates the information and publishes the filtered list of deals. The consumer selects the I Accept the Terms & Conditions check box, and then clicks the Download to mobile button to purchase the deal. There is no transaction involved if the consumer downloads the deal onto the mobile. The system sends the deal details through SMS on the consumer's registered mobile number. The system displays the subscribed deal in the Your Purchase list under My Deals tab.
With respect to Figure 10C, the consumer clicks the My Deals tab on the Inbox notifications page. The system displays the My Deals page showing list of available deals. The consumer filters the deals by city, store, category, and publishing date. The system populates the information and publishes the filtered list of deals. The consumer clicks the Show Details link to view details of the deal. The system displays the details of the deal in a dialog box. The consumer clicks the Post Comments link next to the deal. The system displays the rating options pop-up message. The consumer selects a rating option, and then clicks the Post button. The system saves the comment for the specified deal. After purchasing a deal, the consumer will receive the e-mail notifications to track the progress of the deal. The consumer can also view the deal details, and comment on the deal without purchasing the deal. The System closes and confirms the deal when the minimum number of consumers is subscribed to it. After the deal is confirmed, the consumer redeems the deal with the retailer. If the minimum
number of consumers is not achieved, the System cancels the deal and refunds the purchase fees to the subscribed consumers.
Deals by Retailers:
In accordance with the present invention, a retailer is also enabled to create System account by registering with the system to offer enhanced experience to consumers / Users by providing ID cards, offers and discounts, and personalized and corporate marketing. In an aspect of the present invention, the retailer must have a valid VAT, Service Tax or like registration numbers as may be required in accordance with the law.
This is illustrated by Figure 11. The retailer clicks the Create Free Account link on the System Sign In tab. The System displays the Retailers Registration page. The retailer enters the retailer account details, business details, business registration details, and then clicks the Submit button to save the information. The System displays the Category Subscription page. The retailer selects individual categories check box to subscribe to the categories, and then clicks Subscribe to save the information. The System validates the information entered by the retailer. The System executives validate the information, and then complete the registration process. The System displays the Inbox notifications page.
After the retailer is registered with the System, the retailer can view intents, and publish group deals, discounts and promotions to the consumers. The retailer can also create mobile ID for consumers. Creating a Mobile ID
A mobile ID is an electronically generated loyalty card delivered on consumer's registered mobile number. The consumer can have separate mobile ID for each retailer, or a single System mobile ID for all registered retailers. The retailer creates the mobile ID with the System to offer the services, promotions, and discounts to consumers. The consumers can use the mobile ID to avail the ongoing deals and to purchase them from the retailer.
In an aspect of the present invention, IDs are created by retailer for a new User or existing Users or loyalty cards are converted into IDs for the existing Users. As has been stated above, in accordance with the present invention, a User can have separate ID for each retailer, or a single System ID for all registered retailers.
Case 1: Retailer registers the consumer's details and creates a mobile ID for the consumer.
This is case 1 is illustrated by Figure 12A. The retailer clicks the ID Management tab on the Inbox notifications page. The System displays the ID Management page. The retailer enters the personal details of the consumer, and then
clicks Create ID button. The System sends a mobile ID to the consumer's registered mobile number. The System displays the Inbox notifications page.
Case 2: The retailer has received mobile ID request from existing consumer. The retailer accepts and creates a mobile ID for the consumer,
This case 2 is illustrated by Figure 12B. The retailer clicks the ID Management tab on the Inbox notifications page. The system displays the ID Management page. The retailer clicks the ID Requests from Consumers link to view the mobile ID requests from consumers. The system displays list of mobile ID requests. For an existing consumer, the retailer clicks the View Details link to view the membership details. The system displays the membership details of the consumer. The retailer clicks Accept button to accept the request and creates mobile ID for existing consumer. The system sends a mobile ID to the existing consumer's registered mobile number. The system displays the Inbox notifications page.
Case 3: Retailer has received new consumer subscription requests for validation. The retailer accepts and creates a mobile id for the subscribers.
This case is illustrated by Figure 12C. The retailer clicks the ID Management tab on the Inbox notifications page. The system displays the ID Management page. The retailer clicks the ID Requests from Consumers link to view the mobile ID requests from consumers. The system displays list of mobile ID requests. For a new consumer,
the retailer clicks View Details link to view the membership details. The system displays the consumer's membership details that are registered on the KLISMA portal. The retailer clicks Accept button to accept the request and creates mobile ID for new consumer. The system sends a mobile ID to the new consumer's registered mobile number. The system displays the Inbox notifications page.
According to the present invention, multiple loyalty cards can also be converted to mobile IDs at the same time. The retailer clicks the ID Management tab on the Inbox notifications page. The System displays the ID Management page. The retailer clicks the Bulk Conversion link to view the mobile ID requests from consumers. The System displays the Create New Mobile ID page. The retailer selects the .png format image file as mobile ID logo. The retailer selects the .csv file to transfer data information from the spreadsheet to the System database, and then clicks Create IDs button to save the information. The System sends the new mobile IDs to the subscribed consumers on the registered mobile numbers. The retailer clicks the Click Here link in the confirmation message to view list of consumers. The System displays the ID Management page.
After the retailer creates a mobile ID for the consumer, the retailer links the consumer to the System account. The retailer can send promotions and discounts to consumers through e-mail notifications using the mobile ID. The retailer also allows the consumer to make purchases and redeem the purchased deals using the mobile ID.
Creating Deals
The deal is an offer made by a retailer to consumers to offer the services and
products at a discounted rate, along with additional benefits. A retailer creates a deal
with the System to offer global, personalized, and corporate deals to consumers. The
retailer connects and interacts with a wide network of consumers by creating deals. By
offering deals and promotions, the retailer is able to effectively market the products and
services.
In accordance with the present invention, the retailers registered in the System are enabled to create deals and then specify the terms and conditions. The retailer can select from the terms and conditions list while publishing a deal. In this way, a retailer can have multiple terms and conditions for different products or services.
This is illustrated by Figure 13A. The retailer clicks the Create a Deal link on the System Deals Management tab Or, the retailer clicks the Create a Deal button on the upper-right side of My KLISMA screen. The System opens the Create a Deal screen. The retailer enters the deal category, promotion code, shipment details, minimum requirements to finalize the deal, and the terms and conditions. The retailer clicks Preview button to preview the entered information. The System shows the deal details in a pop-up message. The retailer clicks the Create Deal button to save the deal information. The System populates the information, and shows the entered deal details in the My Deals list under Saved Deals link in the Deals Management tab. The retailer
clicks the Push this Deal link next to the deal to publish the saved deal. The System shows the Select Consumer Profiles list in the pop-up message. The retailer selects the consumers for the deal from the Select Consumer Profiles list in the pop-up message window, and then clicks the Push the Deal button. The System populates the information, and then sends an e-mail notification to all subscribed consumers of the deal, and other consumers. The System shows the deal details in the My Deals list under Saved Deals link in the Deals Management tab.
As stated above, the retailer can create new terms and conditions. This is illustrated by Figure 13B. The retailer clicks the Create Terms and Conditions link on the System Deals Management tab. The System opens the Create Terms and Conditions page. The retailer enters the name, copy from, and description of terms and conditions, and then clicks Save button to save the information. The System populates the information, and shows the terms and conditions in the Saved Terms and Conditions list. After new terms and conditions are created, the retailer can select from the terms and conditions list while publishing a deal. In this way, a retailer can have multiple terms and conditions for different products or services.
Participating in Deals
According to the present invention, the retailer can participate in a consumer-created deal, and offer the deal to consumers. A retailer participates in consumer-created deals with System to show interest and offer the services or products to the
consumers. Participating in deals helps the retailer to offer personalized deals by understanding the exact requirements and expectations of consumers. After making an offer to the User-created intent, the retailer can send offers and various schemes to consumers through notifications.
This is illustrated by Figure 14. The retailer clicks the Consumer Created Deals link on the Deals Management tab. The System opens the Consumer Created Deals
screen showing a list of consumer-created deals. The retailer clicks the icon next to a deal in the list. The System displays a drop-down box next to the deal. The retailer clicks I'm interested link from the drop-down box. The System opens the Create a Deal screen. The retailer enters the deal category, promotion code, shipment details, and minimum requirements to finalize the deal, and then the terms and conditions. The retailer clicks the Preview button to preview the entered information. The System shows the deal details in a pop-up message. The retailer clicks the Create Deal button to save the deal information. deal, and other consumers. The System shows the deal details in the My Deals list under Saved Deals link in the Deals Management tab.
After making an offer to the consumer-created intent, the retailer can send offers and various schemes to consumers through e-mail notifications. Closing Deals
A consumer participates in deals with System to subscribe to a deal posted by retailers. The consumer will have to pay a nominal subscription fee if subscribed to a deal. After the required numbers of subscribers are met in the specified days limit, the System will confirm and close the deal. If the required number of subscribers is not achieved within the specified days limit, the System will cancel and close the deal, and refund the subscription fee to the subscribed consumer.
Case 1: Closing of deal by clicking Buy button
This can be illustrated by Figure 15 A. The consumer clicks the My Deals tab on the Inbox notifications page. The System displays the My Deals page showing a list of available deals. The consumer filters the deals by city, store, category, and published date. The System populates the information and publishes the filtered list of deals. The consumer clicks the Buy button to purchase the posted deal. After purchasing the deal, the consumer will have to pay a nominal fee to confirm the purchase. The System displays the Payment Details page. The consumer enters his personal information, billing information, expiry date, and shipping address, and then clicks Complete My
Order button to save the details. The System displays the subscribed deal in the Your Purchase list under My Deals tab. The System closes the deal after specified number of days.
Case 2: Closing of deal by Downloading on to Mobile
This can be illustrated by Figure 15B. The consumer clicks the My Deals tab on the Inbox notifications page. The System opens the My Deals screen showing list of available deals. The consumer filters the deals by city, store, category, and publishing date. The System displays the information and publishes the filtered list of deals. The consumer selects the I accept the Terms and Conditions check box, and clicks Download the Deal button to download the deal on the mobile. The System sends the purchase voucher on the consumer's registered mobile number. The System displays this purchased deal in the Your Purchase list under My Deals tab. The consumer can then redeem the purchase after showing the mobile purchase voucher to the retailer. The System displays the subscribed deal in the Your Purchase list under My Deals tab. The System closes the deal after specified number of days.
After purchasing a deal, the consumer will receive the e-mail notifications to track the progress of the deal. The consumer can also view the deal details. The System closes and confirms the deal when the minimum number of consumers is subscribed to it. After the deal is confirmed, the consumer redeems the deal with the
retailer. If the minimum number of consumers is not achieved, the System cancels the deal and refunds the purchase fees to the subscribed consumers.
Mobile / Hand Held Application Use
A consumer registers and creates a membership profile with the System to avail the corporate and general offers. The consumer can download the System application on the mobile or any of the hand held devices ("mobile"), and then can access the System portal. The consumer must have GMail, Facebook, Yahoo, myspace, Linkedin, or Twitter account. The consumer's mobile device must support GPRS feature. The consumer's service provider must enable GPRS service. ,
Step 1: The consumer registers and creates a profile on the System web application in accordance with the present invention.
Step 2: The consumer downloads the System mobile application on the mobile. After registering on the System web application, the consumer receives a SMS containing System mobile application download link Or, the consumer will receive a SMS having the information about how to download the System mobile application from web portal. The System web application downloads the System mobile application from the link provided onto the mobile handset.
Step 3: The consumer registers and launches the System mobile application on the mobile. This can be illustrated by Figure 16. The System mobile application displays the login screen with the option to remember the mobile number. The consumer enters the registered mobile number. The consumer selects the Remember Me check box to allow automatic sign in from next time onwards. The System stores the entered mobile number, login ID, and password of the consumer, and then allows automatic sign in next time onwards. The System authenticates the consumer information. The System updates all available coupons on the mobile according to the expiry date. After registering with the System application through web portal, registering and launching in the System mobile application, the consumer can browse through available deals, view mobile ID card, and make purchases from the mobile number.
Viewing KXISMA Mobile ID Cards on Mobile
In accordance with the present invention, an individual consumer registers and creates a primary membership profile with the System to avail the general and corporate offers.
This can be illustrated by Figure 17. The consumer logs on to the System mobile application using the login credentials. The System mobile application validates the information and launches the mobile application. The consumer clicks the My Cards option from the System mobile application menu. The System displays a list of
associated mobile ID cards for each subscribed retailer. If the mobile ID card is password protected, the consumer enters the password for the retailer's membership. The consumer can change or reset the password from the System web portal. The System displays the password protected mobile ID card.
The consumer can view mobile ID cards for different retailers available.
The consumer can use the mobile ID card to avail the ongoing deals and make purchases from the System mobile application.
Participating in Deals by Individual Consumers
This can be illustrated by Figure 18. The consumer logs on to the System mobile application using the login credentials. The System mobile application validates the information and opens the mobile application. The consumer presses the Global Deals option from the System mobile application menu. The System mobile application displays a list of available deals published by the subscribers for individual or global consumers. The consumer filters the deals by category, published date, or most popular deal. The system populates the information and publishes the filtered list of deals. The consumer presses the Subscribe button to subscribe and purchase a listed deal. The System sends a coupon with deal details to the registered mobile number. The System displays the coupon details in the My Coupons list in the mobile application.
The consumer logs on to the System web portal, views the deal, and clicks the Download to Mobile button next to the specific deal on the System web portal. The System sends a SMS with the coupon number to the registered mobile number. Using the coupon number, the System mobile application sends a request to the System web application. The System web application sends the deal's coupon and related details to the registered mobile number. The System displays the coupon details in the My Coupons list in the mobile application. After purchasing a deal, the consumer will receive the e-mail notification to track the progress of the deal. The consumer can also view the deal details, and comment on the deal without purchasing the deal. The System closes and confirms the deal when the minimum number of consumers is subscribed to it. After the deal is confirmed, the consumer redeems the deal with the retailer. If the minimum number of consumers is not achieved, System cancels the deal and refunds the purchase fees to the subscribed consumers.
Participating in Deals by Corporate Consumers
This can be illustrated by Figure 19. The consumer logs on to the System mobile application using the login credentials. The System validates the information and opens the System mobile application. The consumer presses the Corporate Deals option from the System mobile application menu. The System displays a list of available deals published by the subscribers for corporate consumers. The
consumer filters the deals by category, published date, or most popular deal. The System displays the information and publishes the filtered list of deals. The consumer presses the Subscribe button to subscribe and purchase a listed deal. The System sends a coupon with deal details to the registered mobile number. The System displays the coupon details in the My Coupons list in the mobile application.
After purchasing a deal, the consumer will receive an e-mail notification
to track the progress of the deal. The consumer can also view the deal details. System closes and confirms the deal when the minimum number of consumers is subscribed to it. We claim:
1. A computer-implemented method of electronic shopping, the method
comprising:
registering into the system by the user to create an account;
means for validating the information provided by the user;
enabling the user to choose and enter retailer's information;
providing the user with promotions or offers designed for his needs;
allowing the user to create and publish intents to get personalized offers from retailers.
providing the user the ease of digital receipts, return products, redeem coupons, and participate in retailers' loyalty programs using the user's ID.
2. A computer-implemented method of electronic shopping, the method
comprising:
registering into the system by the retailer to create an account;
means for validating the information provided by the retailer;
enabling the retailer to enter retailer's information;
allowing the retailer to create/design promotions and deals best suited for the
user based on the user's past buying profile;
providing the user the ease of digital receipts, return products, redeem coupons, and participate in retailers' loyalty programs using the user's ID.
3. The method as claimed in claim 2, wherein the user is offered group discounts and promotions by participating retailers for the products.
4. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the user registers as an individual, family or corporate account memberships.
5. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the user is enabled to view the other user's published intents, and then subscribe / participate to form a group or network, and avail group discounts and collect or redeem group loyalty points.
6. The method as claimed in claim 1 and 2, wherein mobile ID card is generated and delivered on the user's registered mobile.
7. The method as claimed in claim 6, wherein the user can have separate mobile ID cards for each retailer, or a single system mobile ID card for all registered retailers.
8. The method as claimed in claim 1 and 2, wherein the retailers are further enabled to view the published intents, its subscribers, and can bring a suitable offers and group discounts to the user.
9. The method as claimed in claim 1 and 2, wherein the user pays a nominal subscription fee if subscribed to a deal, the deal being open for specified days, the said deal closes if the required numbers of subscribers are met, and cancels if the required number of subscribers are not achieved within the specified days by refunding the subscription fee to the subscribed user.
10. The method as claimed in claim 1 and 2, wherein the user is enabled to participate, subscribe, comment, rate the deals posted by the retailer.
11. The method as claimed in claim 1 and 2, wherein the user is able to track shopping expenses and receipts.
12. The method as claimed in claim 1 and 2, wherein the user is enabled to convert the statement of expenses into an excel sheet.
13. The method as claimed in claim 1 and 2, wherein the user's purchase receipts from all participating retailers are accumulated and posted into the user's account at the end of each day.
14. The method as claimed in claim 2, wherein the user's favorite retailers are enabled to send the user coupons which the user can easily keep track of and use.
15. The method as claimed in claim 1 and 2, wherein the user gets a mobile coupon which the user can use, the user being enabled to select any offer of his choice and
convert it into an m-coupon from the system account, the user being further enabled to show m-coupons at his favorite retail store and avail the discounts offered.
16. A computer-implemented system for electronic shopping, the
system comprising:
a consumer portal;
a retailer portal;
a corporate portal;
appropriate Adaptors;
a master data management component; and
an analytical services component.
17. The system of claim 16 further comprising a mobile application component;
18. The system as claimed in claim 17, whereby the said system can be accessed by a
hand-held device including a mobile with the aid of a mobile application
downloaded from the system web portal.
