K-Shop
In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, a consumer can access the System portal from the mobile application downloaded onto a mobile or any of the hand held devices ("mobile"). In accordance with the System, a consumer can shop with the aid of the mobile, from displays of deals put up in public / private places frequented by System members. The deals will be displayed in a representational manner and can be on banners, flyers, newspaper or other traditional advertising mediums. These public / private places could be on the office premises of a Corporate Partner, a display, at Retail Partner venue (in case of "service providers like multiplexes, malls, restaurants, etc). The banner with items and QR code for each product / service available on the System is a K-Shop in accordance with the present invention.
In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, all members who
wish to use the System with the mobile device, K-Shop, will have a Java-enabled smartphone with camera, Blackberry, iPhone, Android and like.
Members with the mobile application already installed

When a consumer decides to buy through the System, the mobile
application needs to run. In accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention, a folder in the application should be dedicated to K-Shop. This aspect of the present invention can be illustrated with the help of Figure 7.
Clicking on a button on the System application in the mobile device
(inside the K-Shop folder) should start the camera. This makes the camera ready to scan the Code (item or QR code or like) of the desired product on the banner. Another "START' (or similar) button that may be provided in the mobile device, will have to be pressed in order to start the scanning process and read the Code of the desired product. After the Code is read, the System application shows the Item Name, Pack Size, Retail Partner and System Price of that item. The consumer is also enabled with an option to read Item Details, View and Change Quantity, and Add to Cart. According to the preferred embodiment of the present invention, the Default Quantity is provided as 1. Once 'Add to Cart' has been clicked by the consumer, the System provides options to 'View Cart', 'Continue K-Shopping' or to 'Place Order'. In accordance with the present invention, the 'View Cart' option provided to the consumer shows a list of all the Item Names with the System price added to cart. The present invention also provides the option of viewing Item Details, Changing Quantity and Removing from Cart for each Item Name. In accordance with the present invention, 'Continue Shopping' option brings back the camera screen, ready to scan, for the consumer to scan another Code. The 'Place Order' option provided by the System is for processing the order. Clicking this,

the System displays a message informing the consumer if the said purchase is a Cash-on-Delivery order. The consumer is then enabled to select his/her delivery address - office address or home address - or upload a new address. Once the order is placed, the consumer is sent a message confirming the order. In another aspect of the present invention, the order is visible in 'My Orders' section of the System portal. Details of the order including list of items, cost and date of placing order, delivery status, is displayed, when requested.
Members who don't have the mobile application
In accordance with the present invention, consumers who don't have the
application downloaded on their mobile device, should be able to download it anywhere. Instructions for download will be available at the venue of the K-shop (the banner with deals). In accordance with the present invention, the System application can be made available for mobile download at a particular web address, which can be displayed on the banner. Alternatively, the consumer can be enabled to SMS a particular string (eg: Get K.LISMA app) to the System, which can SMS back the link to download the application.
Non-members who want to buy
In accordance with the present invention, consumers who are yet not the
members of the System should be able to become members at any point of time and from any location. Such consumer will have to first download the mobile application,

instructions for which will be available on K-Shop. Once the mobile application is downloaded on the mobile device, consumers should be able to log in to use it and register. As has been mentioned hereinabove, the User can then enter details including First Name, Last Name, Mobile Number, Email Address, City, etc. After entering such details, the User gets an SMS with a 5 digit validation number and an email with a link to validate their email address. The validation number can also be made available to the User through the mobile application itself. The System requires, to complete the registration process, the User to either enter the mobile validation number on the mobile application or click on the email validation link. Post such steps, the User will now be able to use the System mobile application.
Saving and re-using K-Shop orders
In accordance with the present invention, the consumers are enabled to
view each K-Shop order placed and edit it later. The System the refreshes the order with the updated prices. The System also suggests a substitute, if an item is no longer available to buy through the System.
K-Shop for Retail Partners
In accordance with the present invention, Retail Partners must be K-Shop
enabled i.e. they need to agree to terms of K-Shop including, but not limited to, creating a K-Shop display based on the profile of consumers who will view it. Retail Partners are

also enabled to ask for space in a K-Shop. In accordance with the preferred embodiment of the present invention, Retail Partners cannot create a Deal only for K-Shop. Existing Deals or Lists can be converted to K-Shop offers. In accordance with the present invention, Retail Partners do not have access to K-Shop lists. Retail Partners are notified only when orders have been placed.
Enabling K-Shop offers
This aspect of the present invention can be illustrated by Figure 8. In
accordance with the present invention, the Retail Partners, at the time of creation, can enable a Deal or Service List for K-Shop. The System administrator then creates profile-based K-Shop displays that may include these offers. Once an order is placed, each item of the order is verified by the System and then a single order is split into different orders - one order for each Retail Partner. In accordance with the present invention, each Retail Partner receives an email with their individual order containing only their items. The Retail Partner then takes the responsibility for delivery of the order.
K-Shop for System Administrator
Using spaces for K-Shop
In accordance with the present invention, the System identifies spaces for
K-Shop. Each space contains a specified area for banners. When the space for K-Shop

display is in a corporate environment, the System is enabled to replace the K-Shop Display on a regular basis. In an aspect of the present invention, K-Shop facility can be available only to System members. The System is enabled to provide offers based on the profile of the consumers that visit each space.
Creating a K-Shop Display
In accordance with the present invention, the System administrator can
have a section on the admin Portal for K-Shop. In such section, all the offers that are K-Shop enabled can be visible. The System administrator is enabled to create a Display that includes items from these K-Shop enabled offers. In an aspect of the present invention, the said Display can be linked to Corporate Partners.
K-Shop Display can also be in the form of flyers and other traditional
medium through which the Retail Partner already advertises. The Retail Partner can then use the KLISMA K-Shop technology on the existing advertisements turning them into shopping opportunities. KLISMA will provide Codes (QR codes, barcodes, or like) that the Retail Partner can use on these flyers or display advertisements. Any potential customer can then scan the Code with the K-Shop mobile application and buy on the spot.
After an order is placed

This aspect of the present invention is illustrated by Figure 9. In
accordance with the present invention, when a consumer places an order on the System, the System administrator is notified. In an aspect of the present invention, each order is verified by the System, through a phone call. Once the order is verified, the same is split into different orders for each Retail Partner. The System administrator is enabled to see the break-up of orders in two ways: with respect to each order placed as well as with respect to each Retail Partner associated with the order.
K-Shop functionality for content
In an aspect of the present invention, the K-Shop functionality can be
extended to more than just shopping. The Codes can be associated with events and products.
For product information
Codes can be used for marketing a product or for a new product release to
great effect. Very often, retailers put up hoardings and advertise for a product. However, it is very hard to track the impact of such an advertisement. It's difficult to say how many people have actually observed the advertisement with the intention of buying. Very often people notice and intend to buy, but later, the impulse loses its momentum and they forget about buying or change their mind. If a System Retail Partner wants to

provide information about a product to the consumers, it can be done through Codes and the K-Shop functionality. Through Codes, Retail Partners can now track the number of people genuinely interested in making purchases and target them later.
How it will work:
In accordance with the present invention, the System generates a Code
(QR code / Bar code or Image code or like) for each product that a Retail Partner wishes to advertise. Retail Partners can use this Code on promotional material of their choice, including brochures, advertisements, banners or any other visual display. The User that scans that Code is provided content about the product. The information about the product is stored on the local memory of the mobile device so that consumers are enabled to view it later at their leisure. In accordance with the present invention, Retail Partner can provide this mobile content in the form of images, text and even audio/video files. This content can also be created by the System and tailor-made to the Retail-Partner's specifications.
For events
Similarly, Codes and the K-Shop functionality can be used for events.
When a User scans the code, the System provides the details about the event. This includes date, time, venue and a brief description about the event. Other uses of this

functionality include, but are not restricted to, product launches, entertainment events by Retail Partners, etc.
Associating Codes with member profiles
The profile of each System User can be associated with a unique code to
enable the Retail Partners for targeted advertisements and deals.

We claim:
