Method, Apparatus And System For Determining Real Time Raceway Characteristics In A Blast Furnace (Bf)

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to field of a Blast Furnace (BF) (101) that discloses method of determining real-time raceway characteristics in BF. A computing unit (121) determines differential pressure value corresponding to each of plurality of tuyeres (107) based on plurality of pressure values measured from main bustle (103) to an exit point of each of plurality of tuyeres. Further, computing unit determines value of proportionality constant (K) for present BF operation based on trial value of K and differential pressure value corresponding to each of the tuyeres. Thereafter, computing unit determines volumetric flow rate through each of the tuyeres based on K and corresponding differential pressure value. Finally, computing unit determines one or more raceway characteristics in BF corresponding to each of the tuyeres, in real-time, based on volumetric flow rate. The present disclosure provides an advantage of understanding real working condition by determining real-time raceway characteristics
