Method For Activating Lithium Secondary Battery

Abstract: A method for activating a lithium secondary battery, according to the present invention, comprises (a) the process of preparing a preliminary lithium secondary battery which has an electrode assembly stored in a battery case together with an electrolyte solution, the electrode assembly comprising a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator (b) an initial charging process of charging the preliminary lithium secondary battery until a predetermined voltage is reached (c) a degassing process of removing the gas generated inside the preliminary lithium secondary battery during the initial charging process and sealing same, and (d) an aging process of aging the preliminary lithium secondary battery, wherein the processes of (a) to (d) are conducted sequentially.
