Method For Generation And Control Of Variable Modulation Index Fro An Electronic Identification System

Abstract: An electronic identification system or reader for identifying different electronic devices such as smartcards of RFID tags. The system is capable of identifying devices operating at different values of modulation indices. This is done by the automatic and variable setting of the modulation index within the electronic identification system. The carrier frequency waveform is modulated at each value of modulation index adn sent to the intelligent electronic device and the response is checked for validity.
