Abstract: The invention relates to a chromatographic method for preparative isolation of individual carotenes, individual sterols, coenzyme Q, coenzyme Q10 and alpha-tocomonocenol from animal and plant sources including palm oil. The invention further relates to a chromatographic method for preparative isolation of individual carotenes, individual sterols, coenzyme Q or coenzyme Q10 using supercritical fluid chromatography under certain specified conditions. The invention also relates to a chromatographic method for preparative isolation of coenzyme Q or coenzyme Q10 using liquid chromatography including low pressure low present liquid chromatography under certain specified conditions. The invention further relates to a chromatographic method for preparative isolation of alpha-tocomonoenol by liquid chromatography under certain section conditions.
