Method For Producing Amino Acid Or Peptide, Reagent For Forming Protecting Group, And Compound

Abstract: The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a highly efficient peptide production method by which a protecting group of a side chain can be de-protected via a weak acid; a reagent for forming a protecting group, the reagent having an excellent de-protection property; and a compound. According to the present invention, a method for producing a peptide is provided, the method comprising: a peptide chain elongation step in which a first amino acid or peptide having a side chain protected by a first protecting group represented by formula (1) and a second amino acid or peptide are reacted to obtain a third amino acid or peptide; and a first de-protection step in which the first protecting group of the third amino acid or peptide is de-protected, wherein during the first de-protection step, de-protection is implemented using a de-protection solution with a trifluoroacetic acid content of 10 mass% or less. In the formula, R11 is an aryl group having a substituent, R21 and R22 are each independently a hydrogen atom or a substituent, and n is an integer of 1-6.
