Method For Producing Coil Spring And Suspension Device For Saddle Ride Type Vehicle
Abstract: This method for producing a coil spring (20) comprises: a preparation step for preparing a coil spring (30) with a free length of L1 and a D/d value of 5.5-10, the D/d value being obtained by dividing a coil mean diameter D with a wire diameter d; a compression step for compressing the coil spring (30) with a compression ratio of 0.45-0.7, the compression ratio being defined by (L1-L2)/L1 where the length to which the coil spring (30) is compressed is L2; and a stress shot peening step for shot peening at least the inner circumferential surface of the coil spring (30) while maintaining the compressed state of the coil spring (30).
