Abstract: Provided in the embodiments of the present application are a method for sending and receiving a signal, an apparatus for sending and receiving a signal, and a communication system. The apparatus for sending and receiving a signal is applied to a first integrated access and backhaul node donor central unit (IAB-donor-CU), and the apparatus comprises a first transceiving unit, which is configured to send a traffic unloading request to a second IAB-donor-CU, and to receive a reply regarding accepting traffic unloading or rejecting traffic unloading that is sent by the second IAB-donor-CU.
