Method For Suppressing Clogging Of Filter Cloth, And Flue Gas Desulfurization System

Abstract: Provided is a method for suppressing clogging of a filter cloth that separates water from gypsum slurry produced as a by-product in a flue gas desulfurization device configured to bring the exhaust gas discharged from a combustion device into contact with an absorbent. The method comprises: a redox potential acquisition step in which the redox potential of the absorbent in contact with exhaust gas is acquired; and a chemical agent addition step in which a chemical agent that lowers the redox potential of the absorbent is added such that the value of the redox potential acquired in the redox potential acquisition step does not exceed a threshold value.
