Method For Tracking The Destination Of A Robot
Abstract: A method(100) for tracking the destination during the autonomous navigation of a robot is disclosed. The method relates toreceiving(102) a destination to be attained by the robot, tracking(104) a location of the robot on a path and identifying a recovery behavior requirement. The identication of recovery behavior includes determining(106) distance between current location of robot and the destination of robot with a set of predefined tolerance value, initiating(108) recovery behavior in the robot if the distance exceeds the predefined tolerance values, determining(110)the number of times recovery behavior in the robot is initiated and comparing(112) number of recovery initiationsin the robot with a predefined threshold value. The identication of recovery requirement includes establishing(114,116) the current location of the robot as a new destination if the recovery behavior initiation in the robot with a predefined threshold value. The method facilitates in restricting unnecessary initiation of receiver behavior in robot.
