Method For Use Of Bacillus Clausii In Animal Feed (For Poultry, Swines And Canines)

Abstract: The present invention of the Applicant relates to the use of alkalihalobacillus clausii or its old scientific name Bacillus clausii in animal feed for improving performance of animals such as poultry, swine and canines. The present invention of the Applicant aims to provide use of Bacillus clausii in poultry feed and drinking water for improving digestion and absorption of the nutrients and maintenance of gut microflora against diarrhoea. Bacillus clausii is mixed in an amount of 2.5 billion CFU per gram and doses range 50-250 gm per ton of feed. This specific mixture is then fed to the animals such as poultry, swine and canine. This use of Bacillus clausii in poultry increases weight gain and/or improves the Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) in broiler. Such use of Bacillus clausii also reduces diarrhea problem in above-mentioned animals.

Specification

Description:The present invention of the for a method for the use of Bacillus clausii in animal feed for animals namely poultry, swine and canine. For determining the efficacy of Bacillus clausii, several trials were conducted, the results of which are as follows:

The practices were conducted in commercial broiler and layer farms.

In broilers: In broiler farms, four trials were conducted with different dose and concentration of Bacillus clausii.

In one trial day old chickens were fed specific diet as control group (T1) feed without Bacillus clausii and another group (T2) was reformulate with Bacillus clausii @ 250 gm dose per ton of feed than the control group. Diet and their specification shown in Table 1 and 2. The Bacillus clausii brand was obtained from DSAND group India. All manage mental conditions were remain same for both group. At the end of trial result concluded in Table 3. Result indicates significantly better profitability in Bacillus clausii group T2.

Conclusion:

Based on the results of the preceding trials, it has been determined that the application of Bacillus clausii at various doses and concentrations improves FCR and economics in broilers. Finally, Bacillus clausii is a probiotic bacteria that has been found to have several benefits in poultry. It can aid in the promotion of a healthy intestinal environment, the reduction of stress, the improvement of feed conversion, and the reduction of the need for antibiotics. These advantages can lead to enhanced general health and performance of poultry, resulting in increased production and profitability for poultry producers.

To guarantee its efficiency, Bacillus clausii should be used under the supervision of a veterinarian or poultry specialist, and suitable storage and application techniques should be followed. Furthermore, before utilising Bacillus clausii in poultry production, it is important to be aware with the rules and regulations governing the use of probiotics in animals.

Economic Significance and Technical Advancement

• Use of Bacillus clausii in poultry increases weight gain and/or improves the Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) in broiler.
• Use of Bacillus clausii and its use in poultry reduces diarroea problem.
