Abstract: ABSTRACT METHOD OF INCREASING MAGNETIC FIELD USING RING MAGNET IN BRUSHLESS PERMANET MAGNET MOTORS A multi-pole ring magnet of proposed design is magnetized such way that the magnetic field is increased by increasing the magnetization active length inside the magnet between two consecutive poles. The magnetization active length is represented by an arc shape inside thickness of the multi-pole magnet, and number 5 of arcs are equal to the number of poles of the multi-pole magnet. The arc shape allows to have a radial flux distribution which is sinusoidal and allow to have sinusoidal torque constant for slotless brushless PM motor. (FIG. 3c)

,CLAIMS:We Claim:
1. A rotor assembly of a slotless radial flux brushless Permanent Magnet (PM) motor, comprising:
a multi-polar ring magnet (300, 600, 700) positioned around a cannulated shaft (302) of a rotor, wherein a first set of alternate magnetization vectors (304) of the multi-polar ring magnet (300, 600, 700) are normal to an outer diameter (322) of the multi-polar ring magnet (300, 600, 700) and a second set of alternate magnetization vectors (306) are tangential to the outer diameter (322) of the multi-polar ring magnet (300, 600, 700).
2. The rotor assembly of the slotless radial flux brushless PM motor as claimed in claim 1, wherein a number of first set of alternate magnetization vectors (304) and a number of second set of alternate magnetization vectors (306) are equal to number of poles of the multi-polar ring magnet (300, 600, 700).
3. The rotor assembly of the slotless radial flux brushless PM motor as claimed in claim 1, wherein magnetization active length of the multi-polar ring magnet (300, 600, 700) is equal to an arc length (314).
4. The rotor assembly of the slotless radial flux brushless PM motor as claimed in claim 1, wherein the first set of alternate magnetization vectors (304) and the second set of alternate magnetization vectors (306) result in a sinusoidal flux distribution in an airgap.
5. The rotor assembly of the slotless radial flux brushless PM motor as claimed in claim 1, wherein the multi-pole ring magnet (300, 600, 700) creates sinusoidal airgap flux density, and wherein the sinusoidal airgap flux density results in a sinusoidal torque constant.
