Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing natural resin based fast drying coatings applicable on metallic substrate such as non-pickled hot rolled carbon steel tubes and galvanized tubes. The method comprises the steps of: i. rendering natural long or small chain hydrocarbon containing fatty ester; ii. rendering different organic solvents (polar and non-polar) for different formulation; iii. rendering corrosion inhibitors as triphosphate derivative in long or small chain hydrocarbon containing fatty ester; vi. putting long or small fatty ester resin into a vessel, then pouring a mixture of organic solvents and heat the total mixture up to its dissolution then placing triphosphate derivative; vii. mixing by mechanical stirrer up to half an hour viii applying on tubes either by spray or dipping; ix. curing within 8 sec to 15 sec at 270C to 500C. The methods of the invention produce metallic non-pickled HR tube and Galvanized iron tube primed by two types of triphosphate modified fatty ester coatings which are having improved drying effect with excellent flexibility, adhesion and corrosion properties. This invention adapts a natural resin based formulation (environmental friendly non- aqueous solution).
