"Method Of Producing Sintered Ore"
Abstract: In a process of producing sintered ore, part or all of iron ore fines containing combined water such as pisolite ore or Marra Mamba ore used as a sintering raw material is pre-reduced by using a reducing gas such as blast furnace gas in a reducing furnace such as a fluidized bed, whereby the combined water in the iron ore fines is removed and hematite in the iron ore fines is reduced to magnetite or wustite. Then, a raw material made by blending the pre-reduced iron ore fines, other iron ore fines, miscellaneous sources of iron, a subsidiary raw material, return ore and a bonding agent is used in the process of producing sintered ore.
