Abstract: Abstract This Invention of repair scheme is used in deep penetrating fighter aircraft. The repair scheme is used in cockpit canopy stowage handle holding knob. The Knob is situated in cockpit canopy handle which is used to operate opening and closing of canopy. The canopy stowage handle button is pasted in its position with the help of araldite. In this methodology of working practice, araldite is the only adhesive material used to paste the button to its position and no other fastening is done which is an unsafe practice. In the present invented method, introduction of a split pin. instead of pasting with araldite can eliminate the potential flight safety hazard. In this Methodology, it is required to drill a hole of 1mm diameter and insert a split pin in that hole, which can act as a permanent fastening of the stowage handle.
Title of the invention
Method to fix the canopy stowage handle knob of deep penetrating fighter Aircraft.
Field of invention
This invention is related to the Method, repair and quality assurance to fix the canopy stowage handle knob of deep penetrating fighter Aircraft.
Use of invention
This invention is used to fasten canopy stowage handle knob firmly to the handle & the droplet from the handle will be avoided. From this foreign object debris (FOD) will be prevented and flight safety will be maintained.
Prior art
The canopy stowage handle button is pasted in its position with the help of araldite. In this methodology of working practice, araldite is the only adhesive material used to paste the button to its position and no other fastening is done which is an unsafe practice.
Draw backs of prior art
Poor Surface preparation leads to the improper adherence and curing of araldite. The improper adherence leads to dropping out of Araldite particle and knob as a foreign object debris can move to canopy control and flight control system or pilot helmet while flying which may lead to flight safety hazard.
Comparison between prior art and present invention
The canopy stowage handle button is pasted in its position with the help of araldite. In this methodology of working practice, araldite is the only adhesive material used to paste the button to its position and no other fastening is done which regarded as an unsafe practice.
In the present invented method, introduction of a split pin instead of pasting with araldite and can eliminate the potential flight safety hazard.
In this methodology, it is required to drill a hole of 1mm diameter and insert a split pin in that hole which can act as permanent fastening of the stowage handle knob.
Aim of the invention
Aim of the invention was to develop an effective flight safety method for fixing the canopy stowage handle knob of deep penetrating fighter Aircraft.
Summary of the present invention
This Invention of repair scheme is used in deep penetrating fighter aircraft. The repair scheme is used in cockpit canopy stowage handle holding knob. The Knob is situated in cockpit canopy handle which is used to operate opening and closing of canopy. The canopy storage handle button is pasted in its position with the help of araldite. In this methodology of working practice, araldite is the only adhesive material used to paste the button to its position and no other fastening is done which is an unsafe practice.
In the present invented method here to introduction of a split pin instead of pasting with araldite, can eliminate the potential flight safety hazard. In this Methodology it is required to drill a hole of 1mm diameter and insert a split pin in that hole, which can act as a permanent fastening of the stowage handle knob.
Brief description of drawings

FIG.3 Illustrates schematic diagram of the new method for fixing the knob.
Statement of invention
This invention is used to fasten canopy stowage handle knob firmly to the handle & the droplet from the handle will be avoided. From this foreign object debris fFOD) will be prevented & flight safety will be maintained.
Detailed description of invention
a) Canopy Stowage handle 1 along with the knob 2 is attached with araldite additive firmly.
b) A through hole of 1mm diameter is drilled on the collar of the knob 2.
c) Split pin 3 is inserted in the through hole and bent as per standard practice.
Claims We claim
. Method to introduce a permanent fastening system in deep penetrating fighter aircraft canopy stowage handle. . Selection and introduction of a split pin in the canopy stowage handle instead of conventional method of pasting canopy stowage handle button with the help of araldite (adhesive). As the said method will avoid foreign object debris (FOD) in the cockpit during flights.
The surface preparation and adhesive used in this method.
The method and drilling position of the spilt pin in the canopy stowage handle.
