Methods And Apparatus To Improve Bluetooth Low Energy Streaming Connection Efficiency

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to improve Bluetooth low energy streaming connection efficiency are disclosed herein. An example method includes accessing a request received at a first device from a second device, the request requesting set up of an isochronous link between the first device and the second device, the request including a configuration identifier. Whether the configuration identifier identifies a configuration stored at the first device is determined. In response to determining that the configuration identifier identifies the configuration stored at the first device, the isochronous link using the stored configuration.

Specification

Claims:1. An apparatus to establish a connection, the apparatus comprising:
a configuration memory to store a configuration parameter identified by corresponding configuration identifier; and
a connection manager to access a request to set up an isochronous link between the apparatus and a Bluetooth device, the request including a requested configuration identifier, the connection manager to determine whether the requested configuration identifier is stored in the configuration memory, the connection manager to, in response to determining that the requested configuration identifier is stored in the configuration memory, open the isochronous link using the configuration parameter associated with the configuration identifier.

2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the requested configuration identifier corresponds to a fixed configuration.

[0001] This disclosure relates generally to Bluetooth streaming, and, more particularly, to methods and apparatus to improve Bluetooth low energy streaming connection efficiency.

BACKGROUND
[0002] In recent years, wireless devices have been used to stream audio from one device to another. For example, a user might use a mobile device to stream audio to a pair of headphones. In some examples, the user may wish to stream audio from the mobile device to a first set of speakers as well as a separate set of speakers. Streaming to multiple different speaker devices enables the audio to be simultaneously played at multiple different locations.
