Abstract: ABSTRACT “METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR REFERENCE SIGNAL CONFIGURATION” Method performed by a base station, the method comprising, transmitting, to a terminal device, first information indicating a first resource set for a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) for tracking, the first information comprising, a parameter trs-Info set to a value representing true; and a first parameter indicating a first time offset between a first slot containing a first signal that triggers a transmission of the CSI-RS for tracking and a second slot in which the CSIRS for tracking is transmitted, wherein the first time offset is different from a second time offset indicated by a second parameter comprised in second information indicating a second resource set for a CSI-RS, wherein the second resource set is configured without the parameter trs-Info set to a value representing true, and wherein the second time offset is between a third slot containing a second signal that triggers a transmission of the CSI-RS and a fourth slot in which the CSI-RS is transmitted, wherein the first time offset is configured to satisfy a threshold condition required by the terminal device; and transmitting the CSI-RS for tracking to the terminal device in the second slot. A method performed by a base station, the method comprising: transmitting, to a terminal device, first information indicating a first resource set for a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) for tracking, the first information comprising: a parameter trs-Info set to a value representing true; and a first parameter indicating a first time offset between a first slot containing a first signal that triggers a transmission of the CSI-RS for tracking and a second slot in which the CSIRS for tracking is transmitted, wherein the first time offset is different from a second time offset indicated by a second parameter comprised in second information indicating a second resource set for a CSI-RS, wherein the second resource set is configured without the parameter trs-Info set to a value representing true, and wherein the second time offset is between a third slot containing a second signal that triggers a transmission of the CSI-RS and a fourth slot in which the CSI-RS is transmitted, wherein the first time offset is configured to satisfy a threshold condition required by the terminal device; and transmitting the CSI-RS for tracking to the terminal device in the second slot.
2. The method of Claim 1, wherein the CSI-RS for tracking and the CSI-RS are associated with different Quasi-Co-Location (QCL) parameters.
3. The method of Claim 1 or 2, wherein: the first resource set is associated with a set of periodic CSI-RS resources configured with four periodic CSI-RS resources with two consecutive slots in an order of a first slot and a second slot in time domain, and the first time offset is for the first slot.
4. The method of any one of Claims 1 to 3, further comprising: determining the first time offset, wherein determining the first time offset comprises: obtaining a first set of candidate time offsets predefined for the CSI-RS for tracking; and determining the first time offset from the first set of candidate time offsets, the first set of candidate time offsets being at least in part different from a second set of candidate time offsets, the second time offset being determined from the second set of candidate time offsets.
5. The method of any one of Claims 1 to 4, wherein the CSI-RS for tracking is aperiodic.
6. The method of any one of Claims 1 to 5, wherein the first signal is transmitted in a Downlink Control Information (DCI) format.
7. The method of any one of Claims 1 to 6, wherein the CSI-RS for tracking is associated with a first subcarrier spacing (SCS) and the first signal is associated with a second SCS that is different from the first SCS, and wherein the method further comprises: determining the first time offset, wherein determining the first time offset comprises determining the first time offset at least based on the first SCS.
8. The method of any one of Claims 1 to 7, further comprising: transmitting, at least based on the first resource set, the first signal and the CSI-RS for tracking to the terminal device.
9. The method any one of Claims 1 to 8, wherein the first time offset is configured to be a value from a set of values, wherein the set of values consists of values that are larger than 0.
10. A method performed by a terminal device, the method comprising: receiving, from a base station, first information indicating a first resource set for a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) for tracking, the first information comprising: a parameter trs-Info set to a value representing true; and a first parameter indicating a first time offset between a first slot containing a first signal that triggers the CSI-RS for tracking and a second slot in which the CSI-RS for tracking is received, wherein the first time offset is different from a second time offset indicated by a second parameter comprised in second information indicating a second resource set for a CSI- RS, wherein the second resource set is configured without the parameter trs-Info set to a value representing true, and wherein the second time offset is between a third slot containing a second signal that triggers the CSI-RS and a fourth slot in which the CSI-RS is received, wherein the first time offset is configured to satisfy a threshold condition required by the terminal device; and receiving the CSI-RS for tracking from the base station in the second slot.
11. The method of Claim 10, wherein the CSI-RS for tracking and the CSI-RS are associated with different Quasi-Co-Location (QCL) parameters.
12. The method of Claim 10 or 11, wherein the CSI-RS for tracking is aperiodic.
13. The method of any one of Claims 10 to 12, wherein the first signal is received in a Downlink Control Information (DCI) format.
14. The method of any one of Claims 10 to 13, wherein the CSI-RS for tracking is associated with a first subcarrier spacing (SCS) and the first signal is associated with a second SCS that is different from the first SCS, and wherein the first time offset is determined at least based on the first SCS.
15. The method of any one of Claims 10 to 14, further comprising: receiving, at least based on the first resource set, the first signal and the CSI-RS for tracking from the base station.

The method of any one of Claims 10 to 15, wherein the first resource set is associated with a set of periodic CSI-RS resources configured with four periodic CSI-RS resources with two consecutive slots in an order of a first slot and a second slot in time domain, and wherein the first time offset is for the first slot.
17. The method of any one of Claims 10 to 16, wherein the first time offset is configured to be a value from a set of values, wherein the set of values consists of values that are larger than 0.

A base station comprising: a transmitter configured to: transmit, to a terminal device, first information indicating a first resource set for a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) for tracking, the first information comprising: a parameter trs-Info set to a value representing true; and a first parameter indicating a first time offset between a first slot containing a first signal that triggers a transmission of the CSI-RS for tracking and a second slot in which the CSI-RS for tracking is transmitted, wherein the first time offset is different from a second time offset indicated by a second parameter comprised in second information indicating a second resource set for a CSI-RS, wherein the second resource set is configured without the parameter trs-Info set to a value representing true, and wherein the second time offset is between a third slot containing a second signal that triggers a transmission of the CSI-RS and a fourth slot in which the CSI-RS is transmitted, wherein the first time offset is configured to satisfy a threshold condition required by the terminal device; and transmit the CSI-RS for tracking to the terminal device in the second slot.

The base station of Claim 18, wherein the first resource set is associated with a set of periodic CSI-RS resources configured with four periodic CSI-RS resources with two consecutive slots in an order of a first slot and a second slot in time domain, and wherein the first time offset is for the first slot.

1. A method performed by a base station, the method comprising:
transmitting, to a terminal device, first information indicating a first resource set for a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) for tracking, the first information comprising:
a parameter trs-Info set to a value representing true; and
a first parameter indicating a first time offset between
a first slot containing a first signal that triggers a transmission of the CSI-RS for tracking and
a second slot in which the CSIRS for tracking is transmitted,
wherein the first time offset is different from a second time offset indicated by a second parameter comprised in second information indicating a second resource set for a CSI-RS,
wherein the second resource set is configured without the parameter trs-Info set to a value representing true, and
wherein the second time offset is between a third slot containing a second signal that triggers a transmission of the CSI-RS and a fourth slot in which the CSI-RS is transmitted,
wherein the first time offset is configured to satisfy a threshold condition required by the terminal device; and
transmitting the CSI-RS for tracking to the terminal device in the second slot.
2. The method of Claim 1, wherein the CSI-RS for tracking and the CSI-RS are associated with different Quasi-Co-Location (QCL) parameters.
3. The method of Claim 1 or 2, wherein:
the first resource set is associated with a set of periodic CSI-RS resources configured with four periodic CSI-RS resources with two consecutive slots in an order of a first slot and a second slot in time domain, and
the first time offset is for the first slot.
4. The method of any one of Claims 1 to 3, further comprising:
determining the first time offset, wherein determining the first time offset comprises:
obtaining a first set of candidate time offsets predefined for the CSI-RS for tracking; and
determining the first time offset from the first set of candidate time offsets, the first set of candidate time offsets being at least in part different from a second set of candidate time offsets, the second time offset being determined from the second set of candidate time offsets.
5. The method of any one of Claims 1 to 4, wherein the CSI-RS for tracking is aperiodic.
6. The method of any one of Claims 1 to 5, wherein the first signal is transmitted in a Downlink Control Information (DCI) format.
7. The method of any one of Claims 1 to 6, wherein the CSI-RS for tracking is associated with a first subcarrier spacing (SCS) and the first signal is associated with a second SCS that is different from the first SCS, and
wherein the method further comprises:
determining the first time offset, wherein determining the first time offset comprises determining the first time offset at least based on the first SCS.
8. The method of any one of Claims 1 to 7, further comprising:
transmitting, at least based on the first resource set, the first signal and the CSI-RS for tracking to the terminal device.
9. The method any one of Claims 1 to 8, wherein the first time offset is configured to be a value from a set of values, wherein the set of values consists of values that are larger than 0.
10. A method performed by a terminal device, the method comprising:
receiving, from a base station, first information indicating a first resource set for a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) for tracking, the first information comprising:
a parameter trs-Info set to a value representing true; and
a first parameter indicating a first time offset between
a first slot containing a first signal that triggers the CSI-RS for tracking and
a second slot in which the CSI-RS for tracking is received,
wherein the first time offset is different from a second time offset indicated by a second parameter comprised in second information indicating a second resource set for a CSI- RS, wherein the second resource set is configured without the parameter trs-Info set to a value representing true, and
wherein the second time offset is between a third slot containing a second signal that triggers the CSI-RS and a fourth slot in which the CSI-RS is received,
wherein the first time offset is configured to satisfy a threshold condition required by the terminal device; and
receiving the CSI-RS for tracking from the base station in the second slot.
11. The method of Claim 10, wherein the CSI-RS for tracking and the CSI-RS are associated with different Quasi-Co-Location (QCL) parameters.
12. The method of Claim 10 or 11, wherein the CSI-RS for tracking is aperiodic.
13. The method of any one of Claims 10 to 12, wherein the first signal is received in a Downlink Control Information (DCI) format.

receiving, at least based on the first resource set, the first signal and the CSI-RS for tracking from the base station.
16. The method of any one of Claims 10 to 15, wherein the first resource set is associated with a set of periodic CSI-RS resources configured with four periodic CSI-RS resources with two consecutive slots in an order of a first slot and a second slot in time domain, and
wherein the first time offset is for the first slot.
17. The method of any one of Claims 10 to 16, wherein the first time offset is configured to be a value from a set of values, wherein the set of values consists of values that are larger than 0.
18. A base station comprising:
a transmitter configured to:
transmit, to a terminal device, first information indicating a first resource set for a Channel State Information Reference Signal (CSI-RS) for tracking, the first information comprising:
a parameter trs-Info set to a value representing true; and
a first parameter indicating a first time offset between
a first slot containing a first signal that triggers a transmission of the CSI-RS for tracking and
a second slot in which the CSI-RS for tracking is transmitted,
wherein the first time offset is different from a second time offset indicated by a second parameter comprised in second information indicating a second resource set for a CSI-RS,
wherein the second resource set is configured without the parameter trs-Info set to a value representing true, and
wherein the second time offset is between a third slot containing a second signal that triggers a transmission of the CSI-RS and a fourth slot in which the CSI-RS is transmitted,
wherein the first time offset is configured to satisfy a threshold condition required by the terminal device; and
transmit the CSI-RS for tracking to the terminal device in the second slot.
19. The base station of Claim 18, wherein the first resource set is associated with a set of periodic CSI-RS resources configured with four periodic CSI-RS resources with two consecutive slots in an order of a first slot and a second slot in time domain, and
wherein the first time offset is for the first slot.
20. The base station of Claim 18 or 19, wherein the first time offset is configured to be a value from a set of values, wherein the set of values consists of values that are larger than 0.
