Methods And Formulations For Screening And Treatment Of Prostate Cancer

Abstract: The disclosure in various embodiments is related to a method of screening for risk of prostate cancer in humans comprising detecting the presence of mutations in AR androgen receptor gene (DHTR NR3C4) in a biological sample from said human and confirming cancer affliction or risk of cancer development in humans with such mutations. The disclosure also relates to a formulation for treating prostate cancer comprising a ligand of formula (I) and having cytotoxicity towards DU145 cell lines with CTC50 of at least 18 um/mL. Also disclosed are process for preparing a ligand for treating a human with prostate cancer and method of treating a human with prostate cancer having at least one genetic variation of rsl800053, rs9332969 or rs9332971.
