Field of the invention
The present invention relates to construction equipment, and more particularly to a mobile batching plant for delivering concrete mix.
Background of the invention
Generally, a batching plant is used to weigh specified quantities of aggregates such as sand, cement, water and admixtures, and mix the same for specified time and discharge a ready concrete mix. Conventional batching plant has to be installed at one fixed place with proper foundation before starting the operation. Once, the work at one particular site is completed, the batching plant is required to be transported to another site.
For transporting the batching plant from one site to another site, all components of the batching plant such as a mixer, storage hoppers, a cement screw conveyer and the like have to be dismantled one by one. Thereafter, all the components need to be loaded on a vehicle safely. The process of dismantling and carrying the components from one site to another takes lot of time and may lead to damages to the batching plant. Further, after reaching the another site, all the components need to be unloaded from the vehicle and foundation, erection and commissioning process needs to be done again. This cycle continues after completion of every project. Figure 1 shows a perspective view of the batching plant (200) of the prior art.
Accordingly, there exists a need to provide the batching plant which overcomes all the drawbacks of the prior art.

Detailed description of the invention
The foregoing objects of the present invention are accomplished and the problems and shortcomings associated with the prior art, techniques and approaches are overcome by the present invention as described below in the preferred embodiments.
The present invention provides a mobile batching plant which is easy to transport. Further, the mobile batching plant decreases transport, and labour cost.
The present invention is illustrated with reference to the accompanying drawings, throughout which reference numbers indicate corresponding parts in the various figures. These reference numbers are shown in bracket in the following description.
Referring now to figure 2-4, there is shown a mobile batching plant in accordance with the present invention. Specifically, figure 2-4 shows the mobile batching plant (100). The mobile batching plant (100) includes a chassis assembly (1), an aggregate weighing hopper assembly (2), an aggregate storage hopper assembly (3), a panel assembly (4), an aggregate weighing conveyor assembly (5), a skip track assembly (6), at least one skip bucket assembly (7), at least one pan mixer assembly (8), a weighing screw conveyor (9), a cement feeding screw conveyor assembly (10), a middle stand (11), a cement feeding hopper (12), at least one concrete discharge chute (13) and a screw conveyor mobility bracket (14).
The chassis assembly (1) provides a base structure of the mobile batching plant (100). Specifically, the chassis assembly (1) is a fabricated unit which provides support for all the components of the batching plant (100). In an embodiment, the chassis assembly (1) is provided with a plurality of wheels (not numbered) for easy movement thereof. In another embodiment, a towing unit (not shown) is provided which helps in pulling and steering of the batching plant (100), whereby the chassis assembly (1) supports the mobile batching plant (100) for toeing thereof.
The aggregate weighing hopper assembly (2) provides for aggregate, for example, sand, cement, water and admixtures weighing. The aggregate storage hopper assembly (3) provides for storage of the aggregates and the panels assembly (4) provides for increasing the storage capacity of aggregate. The aggregate weighing hopper assembly (2), aggregate storage hopper assembly (3), and the panels
assembly (4) are removably secured to each other and are mounted on the chassis assembly (1).
Further, the weighing screw conveyor (9) collects, weights and discharge cement and fly ash into the pan mixer assembly (8), and the skip bucket assembly (7) receives aggregate material from the aggregate weighing conveyor assembly (5) and discharges the aggregate material into the pan mixer assembly (8). Furthermore, the skip track assembly (6) allows the skip bucket assembly (7) to travel thereon and provides support therefor. In an embodiment, the skip bucket assembly (7) travels over the skip track assembly (6), which is powered by an electric motor (not shown).
The cement feeding screw conveyer assembly (10) feeds cement from the aggregate weighing hopper assembly (2) to the weighing screw conveyor (9) as shown in figure 5. The cement screw conveyer assembly (10) is provided with a pivot (not shown) at the top, middle and bottom portions thereof. Further, a middle stand (11) is provided for supporting the cement feeding screw conveyor assembly (10). In an embodiment, wheels (not numbered) are provided at the bottom pivot for movement of the cement feeding screw conveyer assembly (10).
Further, a fitting arrangement (not shown) is provided at the rear end of the chassis assembly (1), on which the weighing screw conveyer (9) is mounted and clamped during the transportation. When the mobile batching plant (100) reaches the required destination, the chassis assembly (1) is jacked up to avoid pressure on the wheels. After jacking the chassis assembly (1), the weighing screw conveyer (9) is de-clamped from the mounting. With the help of the wheels provided at bottom of the weighing screw conveyer (9) and pivots provided, the weighing screw conveyer (9) is pushed to the required position and then it is jacked up, so as to keep it in the
required position. Thereafter, all the assemblies of the mobile batching plant (100) are checked and the mobile batching plant (100) is ready for preparing the concrete in a very short span of time.
The cement feeding hopper (12) is used for cement storage and the concrete discharge chute (13) is used to discharge concrete properly in an appropriate container, for example, a transit mixer. In an embodiment, the screw conveyor mobility bracket (14) is used for attaching the weighing screw conveyor (9) at the time of shifting the mobile batching plant (100) from one place to other. The mobile batching plant (100) also includes a control panel (not shown) mounted on the chassis frame for mobility.
Advantages of the present invention
1. The mobile batching plant (100) reduces the transport, hydra and labour cost.
2. Time required for shifting of the mobile batching plant (100) is less.
3. The mobile batching plant (100) is easy for shifting.
4. The mobile batching plant (100) is useful for mass concreting, slab work, infrastructure, town ship projects, canal project, bridges, dams, industrial buildings, wind energy projects and the like.
5. Due to improved design of the mobile batching plant (100), 100% mobility is achieved, resulting into quick transportation and no installation.
The foregoing descriptions of specific embodiments of the present invention have been presented for purposes of illustration and description. They are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the present invention to the precise forms disclosed, and obviously many modifications and variations are possible in light of the above
teaching. The embodiments were chosen and described in order to best explain the principles of the present invention and its practical application, to thereby enable others skilled in the art to best utilize the present invention and various embodiments with various modifications as are suited to the particular use contemplated. It is understood that various omission and substitutions of equivalents are contemplated as circumstance may suggest or render expedient, but such are intended to cover the application or implementation without departing from the spirit or scope of the present invention.
