Mobile Communication System, First Source Base Station, First Target Base Station And User Equipment
Abstract: ABSTRACT MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, FIRST SOURCE BASE STATION, FIRST TARGET BASE STATION AND USER EQUIPMENT A mobile communication system in which a first base station and a second base station communicate with a user equipment in parallel and the first base station is changed from a first source base station to a first target base station, wherein the first source base station notifies the first target base station of a handover request in a state where the first source base station and the second base station are communicating with the user equipment in parallel. The first target base station notifies the first source base station of a handover response. The first source base station notifies the user equipment that the first source base station communicating with the user equipment is changed to the first target base station. The state is shifted to a state where the first target base station and the second base station communicate with the user equipment in parallel. FIG. 47

Specification
We Claim:
1. A mobile communication system in which a first base station and a second
base station communicate with a user equipment in parallel and the first base station is
changed from a first source base station to a first target base station,
wherein the first source base station notifies the first target base station of a handover requestin a statewhere the first source base station and the second base station are communicating with the user equipmentin parallel,
the first target base station notifies the first source base station of a handover response,
the first source base station notifies the user equipmentthat the first source base station communicating with the user equipment is changed to the first target base station, and
the state is shifted to a state where the first target base station and the second base station communicate with the user equipmentin parallel.
2. The mobile communication system as claimed in claim 1, wherein ahandover
request message for notifying the handover request includes information on the second
base station.
3. The mobile communication system as claimed in claim 1, wherein a handover response message for notifying the handover response includes information on the second base station.
4. The mobile communication system as claimed in claim 1, wherein a base station change message for notifying that the first source base station is changed to the
first target base station includes information on the second base station.
5. A first source base station in a mobile communication system in which a first
base station and a second base station communicate with a user equipment in parallel and
the first base station is changed from the first source base station to a first target base
station,
wherein the first source base station notifies the first target base station of a handover request in a statewhere the first source base station and the second base station are communicating with the user equipmentin parallel,
the first source base station is notified from the first target base station of a handover response,
the first source base station notifies the user equipment that the first base station to be communicated with the user equipment is changed to the first target base station, and
the state is shifted to a state where the first target base station and the second base station communicate with the user equipmentin parallel.
6. A first target base station in a mobile communication system in which a first
base station and a second base station communicate with a user equipment in parallel and
the first base station is changed from a first source base station to the first target base
station,
whereinthe first target base station is notified from the first source base station of a handover request in a statewhere the first source base station and the second base station are communicating with the user equipmentin parallel,
the first target base station notifies the first source base station of a handover
response,
the first source base station notifies the user equipment that the first base station to be communicated with the user equipment is changed from the first sourcet base station, and
the state is shifted to a state where the first target base station communicates with the user equipmentin parallel with the second base station.
7. A user equipment in a mobile communication system in which a first base station and a second base station communicate with the user equipment in parallel and the first base station is changed from a first source base station to a first target base station,
wherein the first source base station notifies the first target base station of a handover request in a state where the first source base station and the second base station are communicating with the user equipment in parallel,
the first target base station notifies the first source base station of a handover response,
the user equipment is notified from the first source base station that the first source base station is changed to the first target base station, and
the state is shifted to a state where the user equipmentcommunicates with the first target base station and the second base station in parallel.
