Abstract: A grinding pot holding device comprises a circular ring shaped articles jointed by two halves circular segment with a plurality of fastening means. The circular ring shaped device is made of steel material. The circular ring shaped device is mounted on the middle groove part of the sample pot which helps the operator to hold the pot firmly under his grip and perform grinding operation without any hazards. The operator feels more safety in his mind in performing grinding operation, with less consumption of time.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention relates to a grinding pot holding device adaptable
in grinding machine.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
Analysis of Oxide materials like slags, raw materials, fluxes etc is an
important process control activity in any steel making operations. The
samples are received in the form of lumps which have to be ground to -
200 mesh powder for subsequent analytical operations by XRF
spectrometer.
For grinding of materials, generally grinding machines/pulverizers are
used. The grinding pots which are compatible with this machine are
made of Chrome nickel steel.
During the operation of grinding, the samples have to be ground one at
a time. Each grinding operation takes about five minutes. As there is a
continuous inflow of samples for process control operations, the
grinding pot needs to emptied of the pulverized sample each time,
cleaned and made ready for the next sample. The pot becomes very
hot after every grinding operation. The design of the grinding pot is such that it is not
very convenient for holding and the gap between inner surface wall of the grinding
machine and the outer surface wall of the pot is very less only human finger can be
inserted to hold the pot for carrying out from the grinding machine. Besides that the
outer wall of the pot is not convenient enough for firmly gripping and the weight of the
pot is approximately 8 kg which prevents the operator to function conveniently with
safe condition. The operator has to lift up the hot grinding pot from the grinding
machine after each cycle of operation which is very unsafe, sometimes hot grinding pot
slips from the hand. On completion of one cycle of sample grinding, the operator has to
clean the pot before pouring next sample into the grinding pot. After proper cleaning
the pot, the operator pours the sample into the pot. After pouring the sample into the
pot, the operator has to lift up the pot from the place of work to transfer and place the
pot in the grinding machine. After placement of pot in the grinding machine, the pot is
tightened by pot clamping means of the grinding machine and the cover of the grinding
machine is closed, thereafter switched on the grinding machine for grinding. On
completion of grinding, the pot itself becomes very hot. The operator feels very risky to
take out from the grinding machine due to inconvenient gripping opportunity of the
pot and the operator has difficulty in holding the hot pot.
It was therefore essential to make an adaptation device suiting to our needs which
would enable carrying out the job in a safe and convenient manner.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
It is therefore an object of the present invention to propose a grinding pot holding
device adaptable to grinding machine which eliminates the disadvantages of prior art.
Another object of the present invention is to propose a grinding pot holding device
adaptable to grinding machine which facilitates operator for easy handling.
A further object of the present invention is to propose a grinding pot holding device
adaptable to grinding machine which helps in increasing productivity.
A still further object of the present invention is to propose a grinding pot holding device
adaptable to grinding machine which saves time.
An yet further object of the present invention is to propose a grinding pot holding
device adaptable to grinding machine which is economic to manufacture and eco-
friendly.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
A grinding pot holding device comprises a circular ring shaped articles jointed by two
halves circular segment with a plurality of fastening means. The circular ring shaped
device is made of steel material. The circular ring shaped device is mounted on the
middle groove part of the sample pot which helps the operator to hold the pot firmly
under his grip and place the pot inside the grinding machine conveniently and perform
grinding operation easily. After completion of the grinding, the hot pot is conveniently
gripped the device for taking out from the grinding machine without any chance of
slippage from hand. The operator feels more safety in his mind in performing grinding
operation, with less consumption of time.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENT OF THE
INVENTIONS:
As shown in fig. 1 - the grinding pot holding device (1) comprises a
circular ring shaped article by joining two halves circular segment (2,3)
with a plurality of fastening means (4,5). The grinding pot holding
device in made of steel material. The thickness (6) of the circular ring
is such that it fits into the thickness of groove (7) disposed at the
middle part of the grinding pot (8).
As shown in fig. 3 - the grinding pot holding device (1) mounted at the
middle groove part of the sample pot which helps in gripping the sample
pot by a operator of the grinding machine.
WE CLAIM
1. A grinding pot holding device adaptable to grinding machine comprises:
- a circular ring shaped articles (1) by joining two halves circular segment
(2,3) with a plurality of fastening means (4,5)
- fastening means (2,5) comprises nuts and bolts
characterized in that holding device is gripable firmly by the operator
without any chance of slippage of heat up pot during grinding which
results in reduction of consumption time.
2. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the circular ring shaped articles (1) is
made of steel materials.
3. A grinding pot holding device adaptable to grinding machine as substantially
illustrated and described herein with accompanying drawings.
The present invention relates to a grinding pot holding device adaptable to grinding
