Modular Junction Box Spacer Assembly By Using Recycle Material

Abstract: The present invention is about lightweight Junction box spacer assembly with modular design concept of Long side spacer & short side spacer of rectangular chamber. It consists of recycled plastic injections molded two modular spacer part manufactured from same mold and join together with an attachment part. The modular part consists of plurality of inserting feature in corner area and plurality of receptacle feature attachment part. Reorientation & repositioning of these parts allow the inserting feature to assemble on receptacle feature in attachment part to form rectangular chamber which is able to transfer load from manhole cover to the base cover & hence to the rigid land. The spacer part also consist of integrated features for cable insertion which need to be cut off as per requirements.

THE FOLLOWING SPECIFICATION PARTICULARLY DESCRIBES THE NATURE OF THE INVENTION AND THE MANNER IN WHICH IT IS TO BE PERFORMED

Field of the invention
The present invention relates to a polymer molded Junction box spacer assembly for Infrastructure & Telecom junctions. More specifically, the present invention relates to a Junction box spacer assembly made up of recycle thermoplastic material which uses modular design construction.
Background of the invention
The Junction box spacer assembly provides protective shielding for opening in conduit, underground tunnel, drainage sewer and Cable trenching. The main function of Junction box spacer assembly is to provide secure access chamber to the contaminant inside it.
Previously Junction box spacer assembly were manufactured by steel concrete which make them too heavy for installation, transportation and at the same time they are more dangerous as injury may occur to the person handling it.
Due to recent developments in plastic, use of recycle plastic is becoming more famous in infrastructure application. Use of recycle plastic as infrastructure application has issues such as high production investment in terms of compression molding, production volume limitation and tendency to crack when subjected to high load condition like 12.5 Ton, 20 Ton requirements.
Hence, there is a need of a Junction box spacer assembly that is light in weight with recycle material and has a manufacturing process that can cater need of high volume production. Also there is need of the Junction box spacer assembly that takes care of high load requirement like 12.5 Ton, 20 Ton.
Objective of the invention

An objective of the present invention is to use light weight recycle material and Design construction that provides high volume effective manufacturing process and also resolves the failure of manhole cover against high load application like 12.5 ton, 20 Ton.
Another objective of the present invention is to allow transfer of load from cover & frame to its rigid base land surface without affecting the integrity of components in modular construction.
Another objective of the present invention is to design a junction box which can be utilized in applications like Electrical cable routing, Telecommunications, Rainwater collecting pipes, Sewage, water Supply, Solar farms etc.
Summary of the invention
Accordingly, the present invention which provides a Junction box spacer assembly for infrastructure & electronics requirement. The Junction box assembly consist of upper frame, a Modular side spacer part longer & side spacer parts shorter & attachment features. The upper frame is made up of a recycle material having a platform with a ribs. The side spacer part includes a plurality of Horizontal, vertical rib section for transferring the load from frame to basement. The reinforcement parts also contains the cylindrical sections as an access to the cable. The attachment part is identical & can be press fitted as an assembly at any corner. Upon application of load on an upper frame through cover, the frame transfers load on the assembly of spacer part which subsequently transfers the load to the basement thus facilitating distribution of the load.

The complete assembly parts are being made up of recycle material thus it is environment friendly product.

Figure 1 illustrates a Rectangular/Square Junction box Assembly with features and basic components, in accordance to the present invention;
Figure 2 illustrates a Rectangular/Square Junction box Assembly exploded part with basic components & innovative feature, in accordance to the present invention;
Detailed description of the invention
The foregoing objectives of the invention are to be accomplished and the problems and short comings associated with the prior art techniques and approaches are made to overcome by the present invention as described below in the preferred embodiment.
Accordingly, the present invention provides a Junction box assembly which is designed to transfer the street walker and heavy vehicles weight load coming from manhole to the frame & through frame to spacer. The present invention acts as a Junction Box for Gully, Manhole, cable trenching, Utility Box and Junction Box.
For a thorough understanding of the present invention, reference is to be made to the following detailed description, including the appended claims, in connection with the above-described drawings. Although the present invention is described in connection with exemplary embodiments, the present invention is not intended to be limited to the specific forms set forth herein. It is understood

that various omissions and substitutions of equivalents are contemplated as circumstances may suggest or render expedient, but these are intended to cover the application or implementation without departing from the spirit or scope of the claims of the present invention. Also, it is to be understood that the phraseology and terminology used herein is for the purpose of description and should not be regarded as limiting. The present invention is illustrated with reference to the accompanying drawings, throughout which reference numbers indicate corresponding parts in the various figures. These reference numbers are shown in bracket in the following description.
Referring to figures 1 and 2, the details of a Rectangular / Square Junction box Assembly 10 for end use like Electrical cable routing, Telecommunications, Rainwater collecting pipes, Sewage, water Supply, Solar farms etc in the form of gully, manhole, and utility box in accordance with the present invention is shown. The Rectangular / Square Junction box assembly 10 comprised of Frame 11, Spacer part longer 12, Spacer part shorter 13, Base plate 14, Arrester feature on spacer 20, Receptacle feature on Base plate 21, Attachment arrester feature fastening parts 22, pattern of Cylindrical feature for cable access 23.
The Frame 11 is visible & support the manhole cover but form fix mounting with junction box. Spacer part longer 12 & spacer part shorter are made from same mold & having the modular features in it. At the corner & middle of spacer part it is having arrester features 20 these features are inserted in the attachment features which consequently attached to the second stacking of spacer part. At the bottom the base plate will have receptacle features which receive the arrester features from bottom most spacer part to form the assembly. Thus the close chamber is formed in order to protect the occupants inside the box.

The staking of the spacer parts can be increased as per requirement of space in junction box for am applications as describe above which is unique advantage of the current innovation.
The Cylindrical features in the spacer parts acts as an access of cable or pipe connection inside the junction box. The size variation can be done by making the drilling of different size of hole inside this features. By using only Spacer part longer 12 or spacer short part we can convert current construction in rectangular junction box (short & large size). In this case frame & base plate will be manufactured separately but construction & function will remain same, Thus Modularization is possible between Rectangular, square sizes.
The one of the important advantage of current innovation is these parts are basically injection molded by using recycle material. The above construction will take care of load ranges from 1 ton to 20 ton requirements by transferring the load through rib & cylindrical construction to the bottom part.
Advantages of the present invention
1. Light weight composite junction in composite material will help for ergonomically easy installation and transportation and avoid back pain injury of operator.
2. No corrosion issue when compare with Metal casted product. Better durability and more life as compare to concrete product.
3. Due to use of polymeric material less interference to the radio frequency transmission specifically use of utility bin or junction boxes cover for telecom, railway industries. At the same time these cover are easy for handling during meter reading process.

4. As it is made up of recycle material such as polypropylene & HDPE, its uses the green product by reducing waste from environments.
5. Junction box are useful at Electrical cable routing as below.

• ICT: common telecommunications facilities

We Claim
1. A Junction box assembly for infrastructure and electronic use consist of:
• A frame part and modular spacer parts are made up of a material with a plurality of attachment features thereon;
• Parts consist of pattern of plurality of longer spacer part and shorter spacer part configured with pattern of receptacle feature for arresting feature.
• An assembly consist of base plate to form the chamber.
• A Junction box assembly made of such type of modular identical spacer part by rotating the either one in order to align the boundary of the junction box assembly forming wall.
• Wherein upon passing of a heavy load like human, animals, and vehicles on the junction box assembly transfers load vertically toward basement.
2. The Junction box assembly as per claim 1 where in the parts are being
formed by injecting molding process forhigh volume production.

3. The Junction box assembly as per claim 1 where in the spacer long part and spacer short part are formed from same mold and having modularity of features.
4. The Junction box assembly as per claim 1 where in the plurality of pattern of inserting features and pattern of receptacle features facilitates an assembly process through special arrester feature fastening parts.
5. The manhole cover assembly as per claim 1 where in the plurality of pattern of rib features and pattern of circular features form the geometrical shape for load distribution and transfer from Junction box assembly to basement.
6. The Junction box assembly as per claim 1 which will be able to sustain the load capacity of 1.5 Ton, 12.5 and 20 Ton requirements.
7. The Junction box assembly as per claim 1 which will corrosion free product during use.
8. The Junction box assembly as per claim 1 which will have less interference to the radio frequency.
9. The Junction box assembly as per claim 1 which will have lightweight construction easy for installation, transportation and handling required during meter reading of Junction or utility box.
10. Above all the complete product is manufactured from recycle material Polypropylene / HDPE.
