Modular Multifunction Bracket Assembly And Method For Medium And Heavy Duty Vehicle

Abstract: A multifunction bracket assembly (50) and method for an automotive vehicle is disclosed which includes a pair of mounting brackets (2a, 2b) each having a base portion (25) integrated on a right side chassis (30) and a left side chassis (35) of a frame member (1) attached to a vehicle body (40). A plurality of mounting holes (14-23) is formed on the surface of the mounting brackets (2a, 2b) for mounting a plurality of chassis components (60). A projection (17) extending outwardly from the base portion (25) of each mounting bracket (2a, 2b) provides an interface for mounting a vehicle cabin suspension (7a, 7b). The pair of mounting brackets (2a, 2b) are interchanged from right side to left side of the frame member (1) by rotating the mounting brackets (2a, 2b) 180 and vice versa for a longer driver cabin (7a) or a shorter driver cabin (7b) arrangement.
