FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention relates to an electronic sealing device and more particularly relates to a high-security electronic sealing with an electronic tag for recording cargo transportation information, security theft, and tamper-proof facility.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
In the transportation industry, there is a requirement for security and logistic control to track containers and other packed goods with safety. In particular, these containers are sealed at one location after they are loaded with the ship or land vehicle or another mode of transportation and then transported to another location where the vehicle is unloaded.
For the transportation industry, the shipping industry as well as the general public, in aspects of safety measures there is a need for heightened security of the containers loaded in the ship and another vehicle. Because of the high volume of a shipping container in use currently, it is not possible to inspect each manually. The concern is, whether a shipping container has been unsealed by any unauthorized party in the account to take goods from the container or could be implanted destructive objects into the container. Thus, a solution is needed to track the status of shipping containers as well as determine whether the shipping container has been subjected to unauthorized access.
U. S. Patent No. 5189396 A, discloses electronic seal for a casing records the time of changes in the seal state. A sealing strip is fixed in the casing and is formed as a safety loop. A monitoring device is located in the casing and attached to the sealing strip. The monitoring device generates time values which are recorded when changes in the seal state occur.
Further U. S. Patent No. 7239238 B2, discusses about a security seals which includes a stranded metal cable and a locking body for securing a door, including keeper bars and hasps used with cargo containers, trucks, warehouses, and the like, the seal including electronics for monitoring the locked and tampered states of the cable, the monitoring electronics preferably including an RFID tag transmission/interrogation device.

U. S. Patent No. 6243005 Bl, issued to CAPITAL BANK, HI-G-TEK Inc, discloses an electronic seal including a housing, alarm circuitry which when actuated provides an alarm signal, a wire extending from the housing and in electrical communication with the alarm circuitry, a locking element which selectively locking engages the wire to the housing, and a switch external to the housing in electrical communication with the locking element which selectively unlocks the locking element to release the wire.
Briefly, there is a need for the shipping and transportation industry for a more informative device. There is also a need for a security seal for facilitating a 100% reliability of security seals, improving accuracy, enhancing security, simplifying investigations, expediting checking containers and determining container clearances. Further, there is a need for a security seal comprising a electronic tag or radio frequency chip and can transmit information programmed in its memory, such as identification numbers, data associated with the security seal such as data indicative of an identification number of the security seal, data associated with a shipment such as destination of the shipment, consignee, load port, discharge port and vessel number, data associated with a container and the like.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
In view of the foregoing, it is an object of the present invention to provide a high-security sealing device having an electronic tag for recording the information related to the cargo transportation and security theft. The electronic sealing device comprises a built-in wireless radio frequency chip, which stores a globally unique ID, when the electronic tag is damaged or destroyed by unauthentic activity, the information of the electronic tag is lost and the handheld terminal cannot read and write.
