Abstract: When carrying out an intra-frame prediction process to generate an intra prediction image by using an already-encoded image signal in a frae, an intra prediction part 4 selects a filter from one or more filters which are prepared in advance according to the states of various parameters associated with the encoding of a target block to be filtered, and carries out a filtering process on a prediction image by using the filter. As a result, prediction errors which occur locally can be reduced, and the image quality can be improved. Figure 1

Specification

We Claim:
1. An image decoding device comprising:
an intra prediction unit for carrying out an intra-frame prediction process on a block which is a unit for a prediction process to generate an intra prediction image, when a coding mode for said block is an intra coding mode,
wherein said intra prediction unit generates said intra prediction image of said block by calculating a predicted value from reference samples according to an intra prediction parameter indicating a type of intra prediction, and performs a filtering process for said intra prediction image on at least one of pixels in the intra prediction image according to a type of color component and a size of said block.
2. An image decoding method comprising:
an intra prediction processing step of carrying out an intra-frame prediction process on a block which is a unit for a prediction process to generate an intra prediction image, when a coding mode for said block is an intra coding mode,
wherein said intra prediction processing step includes generating said intra prediction image of said block by calculating a predicted value from reference samples according to an intra prediction parameter indicating a type of intra prediction, and performing a filtering process for said intra prediction image of said block on at least one of pixels in said intra prediction image according to a type of color component and a block size of said block.
3. An image encoding device comprising:
an intra prediction unit for carrying out an intra-frame prediction process on a block which is a unit for a prediction process to generate an intra prediction image, when a coding mode for said block is an intra coding mode,
wherein said intra prediction unit generates said intra prediction image of said block by calculating a predicted value from reference samples according to an intra prediction parameter indicating a type of intra prediction, and performs a filtering process for said intra prediction image of said block on at least one of pixels in said intra prediction image according to a type of color component and a size of said block.

4. An image encoding method comprising:
an intra prediction processing step of carrying out an intra-frame prediction process on a block which is a unit for a prediction process to generate an intra prediction image, when a coding mode for said block is an intra coding mode,
wherein said intra prediction processing step includes generating said intra prediction image of said block by calculating a predicted value from reference samples according to an intra prediction parameter indicating a type of intra prediction, and performing a filtering process for said intra prediction image of said block on at least one of pixels in said intra prediction image according to a type of color component and a block size of said block.
5. An image decoding device comprising:
an intra prediction unit for carrying out an intra-frame prediction process on a block which is a unit for a prediction process to generate an intra prediction image, when a coding mode for said block is an intra coding mode,
wherein said intra prediction unit generates said intra prediction image of said block by calculating a predicted value from reference samples according to an intra prediction parameter indicating a type of intra prediction, and performs a filtering process for said intra prediction image of said block on at least one of pixels in said intra prediction image according to a type of color component and said intra prediction parameter.
6. An image decoding method comprising:
an intra prediction processing step of carrying out an intra-frame prediction process on a block which is a unit for a prediction process to generate an intra prediction image, when a coding mode for said block is an intra coding mode,
wherein said intra prediction processing step includes generating said intra prediction image of said block by calculating a predicted value from reference samples according to an intra prediction parameter indicating a type of intra prediction, and performing a filtering process for said intra prediction image of said block on at least one of pixels in said intra prediction image according to a type of color component and said intra prediction parameter.

7. An image encoding device comprising:
an intra prediction unit for carrying out an intra-frame prediction process on a block which is a unit for a prediction process to generate an intra prediction image, when a coding mode for said block is an intra coding mode,
wherein said intra prediction unit generates said intra prediction image of said block by calculating a predicted value from reference samples according to an intra prediction parameter indicating a type of intra prediction, and performs a filtering process for said intra prediction image of said block on at least one of pixels in said intra prediction image according to a type of color component and said intra prediction parameter.
