Abstract: This motor control device is for controlling a motor (5) equipped with multiple winding groups (15 16) and is configured such that when a short circuit failure is detected by a failure detection means (33) control of a normal side inverter with the exclusion of the faulty side is continued by means of means (31 32) for controlling current in normal state and control of the faulty side inverter is also continued according to a faulty state voltage command that is generated by a means for controlling current in a faulty state that comprises a generator (34) for generating a normal side command in faulty state and a generator (42) for generating a faulty side command in faulty state. With this configuration in the event of a winding failure of the motor (5) or an inverter failure torque pulsation of the motor (5) is accentuated so that a user can recognize the failure without fail.
