Motor Control Device And Electric Power Steering Device Equipped With Same

Abstract: [Problem] To provide a motor control device and an electric power steering device equipped with the same which can accurately perform temperature detection of an inverter with a low cost configuration and no time delay and which can perform overheat protection control of an electronic component on the basis of the detected temperature. [Solution] This motor control device controls driving of a motor through an inverter on the basis of a current command value wherein: the motor control device comprises a voltage detecting unit for detecting a power supply voltage of a power supply connected to the inverter a temperature detecting element disposed on a wiring pattern of a circuit substrate between the inverter and the power supply a voltage dividing circuit that divides the power supply voltage with the temperature detecting element and a resistor a temperature detecting unit for detecting the temperature of the wiring pattern on the basis of the divided voltage from the voltage dividing circuit and the voltage detection value detected by the voltage detecting unit and an overheat protection control unit for limiting the current command value on the basis of the temperature detection value; and the temperature detecting unit uses a prescribed arithmetic formula or a preset data table to detect the temperature of the wiring pattern without being affected by the power supply voltage.
