Abstract: The motorcycle with a step through spacing is provided with tubular frame extended at the rear end to provide a rear board wherein the step through spacing and rear board can be utilized for surfaces or store boxes if closed structure. Rider seat is fixed over the rear part of the frame and the internal combustion engine is secured vertically below the rider"s seat through a fixed bracket in the front side of the frame and with a flexible bracket on the rear part of the frame, below the rider"s seat. The fuel tank is placed in between the engine unit and the rider"s seat. An induction unit is located below the rider seat towards rear of the rear frame member and a transmission system is connecting output of the internal combustion engine to rear wheel.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a motorcycle and more particularly to a step through motorcycle.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Motorcycles of the sitting type, which are provided with a storage compartment, are well known. Such motorcycles have storage area provided under the rider's seat, and further, the power unit is vertically swing-ably provided under the storage compartment. It is, therefore, necessary to provide sufficient space under the storage compartment to allow the power unit to swing. This results in the problem that the capacity of the storage compartment must accordingly be restricted. Moreover, if a storage compartment of increased capacity is provided under the seat in an ordinary scooter type vehicle, the seating position becomes high. Consequently if a storage compartment capable of storing a helmet or the like is to be insured, it is impossible to store another relatively large article in the space provided.
Therefore, it is an object of this invention to solve the aforementioned problems and to provide a motorcycle having a storage compartment of large capacity.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present subject matter herein described is directed towards a two wheeled vehicle and more particularly to a motorcycle having a low floor board. The motorcycle having a step through tubular frame with front frame member and rear frame member which further has left and right front frame member running parallel to each other and left and right rear frame member running inclined to each other in transverse direction of the motorcycle. Further, said front frame member and rear frame members are connected to each other through a centre bridge and the left front frame member and the right front frame member are connected through head tube on front side of the front frame member. The left front frame member and the right front frame member are connected through a floor board at centre and the left rear frame member and the right rear frame member are connected through a rear board on rear side of the rear frame member.
Further, a rider seat is mounted over the rear frame bracket and vertically below which an internal combustion engine is secured with the help of two brackets wherein one fixed bracket is located with front part of the frame and the other, a flexible tubular member is fixed with rear part of the frame.
These and other features, aspects, and advantages of the present subject matter will become better understood with reference to the following description and appended claims. This summary is provided to introduce a selection of concepts in a simplified form. This summary is not intended to identify key features or essential features of the claimed subject matter, nor is it intended to be used to limit the scope of the claimed subject matter.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Figure 1 is the isometric view of the motorcycle frame depicting the essential embodiments of the invention.
Figure 2 is the side view of the frame depicting the essential embodiments and their arrangements of the invention.
Figure 3 is the side view of the motorcycle representing the exemplary arrangement of the claimed invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The embodiments disclosed below are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed in the following detailed description. Rather, the embodiments are chosen and described so that others skilled in the art may utilize their teachings. The invention may have application to all types of two wheeled vehicles.
Referring now in details to the drawings and initially primarily to Figure 1, isometric view of the motorcycle frame is shown in order to describe the main embodiments of the invention. Said motorcycle frame if having front (101) and rear (102) frame members, wherein the front member (101) is having a step through space (108) and rear frame member (102) is having an extended tail part called rear board (105) in order to increase the utility and load carrying capacity of the vehicle. Front frame member (101) comprises two parallel members (106,107), running in the transverse direction of the vehicle, i.e. left side front frame member (106) and right side front frame member (107) which are connected to each other through a head tube (103) on the front part of the front frame member (101) and connected through a centre bridge (109) on the rear side of the front frame member (101). On centre area of the front frame member, said left side front frame member (106) and right side front frame member (107) are connected to each other through a floor board (108) which is making the said step through space (108). Further, the rear frame member (102) comprises two members (104,110) inclined to each other, towards the rear end of the frame and in the transverse direction of the motorcycle wherein said members are known as left side rear frame member (110) and right side rear frame member (104) and said rear frame members (110,104) are joined together through the centre bridge (109) on front side of the rear frame member (102) and connected through the rear board (105) on rear side of the rear frame member (102).
Further, two brackets are mounted (111,112) vertically below the front portion of the rear frame member (102), below the location of the rider's seat (100). Said brackets (111,112) are mounted for the purpose of securing the internal combustion engine (308 as shown in figure 3) for the motorcycle and wherein the front bracket (111) is a fixed structure and the rear bracket (112) is a flexible structure ensures an easy mounting of the internal combustion engine (308 as shown in figure 3) in the motorcycle.
Further referring to Figure 2, side view of the motorcycle frame is depicting the embodiments of the invention and more particularly the location and the construction of the internal combustion engine mounting brackets (205, 208) are explained.
Front frame member (202) and the rear frame member (203) are connected to each other through the centre bridge (206). Front part of the front frame member (202) is connected to the head pipe (201). Further, below the rider seat space (200), said brackets (204,205) are fixed such as the front bracket (205) is fixed and attached to the rear frame member (203) directly and the rear bracket (208) is connected with the rear frame member (203) through a tubular joint (204) ensuring the flexibility of the rear bracket (208) for mounting of the internal combustion engine (308 as shown in figure 3).
Figure 3 is depicting the mounting of the internal combustion engine (308) over the front bracket (309) and rear bracket (306) below the rider's seat (302). Figure 3 is also showing the step through front frame member (310), in order to explain the arrangement of footboard (108 as shown in figure 1) over the step through space provided in the motorcycle. Centre bracket (311) is joining the front frame member (310) and the rear frame member (304). Further, the rear frame member (304) has an extended rear portion as rear board (105 as shown in figure 1). Further a fuel tank (303) is secured over the internal combustion engine (308) and vertically below the rider's seat (302). An induction unit (305) is secured behind the fuel tank (403) and below the rear portion of the rear frame member (204).
