Abstract: Presently raw mangoes are cut into cubes manually in pickle and chutney industries. Manual cutting is time consuming, unhygienic and labour intensive. There is no machine available for cutting the mangoes into cubes. This invention reduces the labour requirement in the concerned industry and make the operation hygienic. The output of the pickle industry can be increased by using the cube cutter. Less floor space will be required in the industry for cutting the mangoes into cubes. The raw mango slices without kernels are stored on the feeding trough. The slices are dropped /fed to the feeding drum manually trough the feeding slot. The feeding drum feeds the slices to the rotating blade assembley in which blades (178 mm diameter) are spaced at 20 mm. The slices are cut into cubes of 20 mm length. The cut cubes are scrapped from blades by scrapper assembly. These fall on the nylon net chute outlet. All the parts coming in contact with mango cubes are fabricated out of stainless steel. The blades are hardened to the required brinel hardness.
