[0001] The present invention relates to a motorized jacquard lifting machine for weaving handlooms.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[0002] Conventionally, the weavers operate the jacquard box by pressing a wood lever by their leg with heavy pressure which is tiresome and a daunting task. The weight of the jacquard box with hooks and threads are 30 Kgs to 80 Kgs depending upon the design, which is a huge burden for the handloom weavers to handle while weaving.
[0003] There is a recognized need in the art for a motorized jacquard lifting machine which reduces the amount of pressure required by the weaver to operate the jacquard box with his leg. The present invention overcomes the above disadvantages of conventional weaving by handloom weavers and fulfills this long standing need in the art.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0004] An object of the present invention is to provide a motorized jacquard lifting machine which is simple in design and useful for handloom weavers to weave the handloom effortlessly.
[0005] Another object of the present invention is to provide a jacquard lifting machine specially designed for handloom weavers.
[0006] Another object of the present invention is to simplify the operation of jacquard box by almost nullifying the pressure on weaver’s foot.
[0007] Accordingly, to meet the objects of the invention, disclosed herein is a motorized jacquard lifting machine comprising a main frame; a loading lever; a side frame attached to the main frame for guiding the loading lever; a large dia sprocket and small dia sprocket with two sizes of shafts; a motor; a main drive chain; ball bearings; V belts; a timing limit unit and a pedal box connected to the motor for supplying power to said motor; the said main drive chain, V belts, motor, main operating loading lever and timing limit unit fitted in main frame; wherein the main power drive of the motor is passed through V belts with pulleys to the large sprocket which works as a weight lifting device by operating the said loading lever; other end of the loading lever being connected to the handloom jacquards box by a thread so that when the weaver presses and holds the pedal connected to the motor, power is supplied to the motor and the machine starts to lift the jacquard box.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[00012] Definitions unless defined otherwise, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by one of ordinary skill in the art to which this invention belongs.
[00013] The terms “loading bar” and “loading lever” are used interchangeably in the description and drawings.
[00014] The present invention will be described herein below with reference to the accompanying drawings. The present invention relates to a motorized jacquard lifting machine filtration for weaving handlooms.
[00015] In accordance with an embodiment of the present invention, the motorized jacquard lifting machine comprises a main frame; a loading lever; a side frame attached to the main frame for guiding the loading lever; a large dia sprocket and small dia sprocket with two sizes of shafts; a motor; a main drive chain; ball bearings; V belts; a timing limit unit; and a pedal box connected to the motor for supplying power to said motor
[00016] The small dia sprocket shaft length is 12” (304 mm) and large dia sprocket shaft length is 10” (254mm). The large dia ‘V’ pulley size is 10” (254 mm) and small dia ‘V’ pulley size is Ø 1.5” (38.1mm). There are 4 nos of piller bearing size µcp204-12.
[00017] The main drive chain, V-belt size A36A and 25HP (1/4 HP) 1004 RPM motor, timing limit unit are all fitted in Main Frame with 3/8th bolts, nuts and washers.
[00018] Main Operating Loading Bar/Lever is fitted with Main Frame by ½” x 3” bolts, nuts and washers. The main power drive of the motor is through V-Belt with pulleys. Reduced RPM increased power of the motor is transported to next drive of the chain drive.
[00019] Finally, that total reduced RPM (1440 RPM to 60 RPM) go to the Large Sprocket. The Large Sprocket works as a weight lifting device by operating the lever. Another end of the loading lever is connected with Handlooms Jacquards Box by a thread. When the weaver presses and holds the pedal of the pedal box, power is supplied to the motor and the motor will start to function and the machine starts to lift the jacquard box.
[00020] The Built in Timing Unit is stopped the motor with loading position. And after the weaver releases the pedal unit, again the motor starts to release the Jacquard Box. So this intermittent function is done by the Timing Limit Switch (Timing Unit). 60 Amps capacity is used for very long life, at the same time Pedal box unit also has the same type of 60 Amps switch. Push to ON and release to OFF.
[00021] The Side Frame is attached with the Main Frame. The purpose of the Side Frame is to guide the “Loading Lever” only.
[00022] The main supply is given to the Motor by the Pedal Box Unit, through copper wire size 1 mm wires with ISI. The Pedal Box having 5 mts. length of wires with hose pipe and having mains cord with two pin top length 5 mts.
[00023] The motorized jacquard lifting machine is made by iron only type of “L” angle, Size: 1 ¼ (32 m.m) * 3 m.m. Thickness and M.S. Flat’s used size (25 m.m * 6 m.m., 38 m.m * 10m.m, 19 m.m. * 6 m.m.) for the best quality and long life.
[00024] The machine is operated by a single phase motor. The motor power will be converted by this mechanism to lifting power. The single phase motor according to an embodiment is (1/4.H.P) 0.25.H.P/180.W/220.V/1440.RPM.
[00025] The weaver needs to soft touch the pedal by his thumb only (soft touch). 80 Kg weight of the jacquard box can be easily operated.
[00026] This machine is includes belt drive and chain drive. Motor RPM is reduced (1440 RPM to 240 RPM) by ‘V’ belt with ‘v’ pullies (35.m.m dia with 254.m.m. dia). but pulling power will be increased and again chain drive is used for reduced (240.RPM. to 60.RPM.) once again pulling power (lifting power) is increased. This speed is required speed for the machine.
[00027] The electric power will be converted to rotating power by electric motor, This rotating power is converted to lever power to operate the jacquard box.
[00028] The preferred dimensions are given below:
[00029] The foregoing description is for preferred embodiments of the present invention. It should be appreciated that these embodiments are described for purpose of illustration only, and that numerous alterations and modifications may be practiced by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. It is intended that all such modifications and alterations be included insofar as they come within the scope of the invention as claimed or the equivalents thereof.
[00030] Other modifications will be apparent to those skilled in the art and, therefore, the invention is defined in the claims.
