Abstract: A movable assembly (100) for a fuel pump assembly which includes a base unit (102) mountable inside a fuel tank (500) for holding a fuel pump assembly in the fuel tank (500). The base unit (102) includes a rotator mechanism to rotate in a clockwise and an anticlockwise direction so as to rotate the base unit (102). The base unit (102) further includes a translator mechanism to move the base unit (102) in a first and second translational direction, and a locking mechanism operably coupled to the rotator mechanism and the translator mechanism to immovably secure the base unit (102) after being moved into a predefined position.
1. A movable assembly (100) comprising:
a base unit (102) mountable inside a fuel tank (500) and configured to hold the fuel pump assembly in the fuel tank (500), wherein the base unit (102) comprises:
a rotator mechanism to rotate in a clockwise and an anticlockwise direction to rotate the base unit (102); and
a translator mechanism to move the base unit (102) in a first and second translational direction.
2. The movable assembly (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said rotator mechanism and said translator mechanism is operably coupled to a locking mechanism for immovably securing the base unit (102) after being moved into a predefined position.
3. The movable assembly (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the rotator mechanism comprises a rotator locking mechanism having a plurality of rotator meshing projection (122) configured to cooperate and mesh with a plurality of rotator locking portion (120) on the fuel tank (500).
4. The movable assembly (100) as claimed in claim 3, wherein the translator mechanism comprises a translator locking mechanism, the translator locking mechanism comprising a slider (114) including a base (306) configured to move inside a locking channel (204) of the fuel tank (500), the base (306) having a plurality of translator meshing projection (302) configured to engage and disengage with a plurality of translator meshing portions (202) in the locking channel (204).
5. A movable assembly (100) for a fuel pump assembly, the movable assembly
(100) comprising:
a base unit (102) mountable on a fuel pump housing (106) to couple a fuel filter (110) to a fuel pump housing (106), the base unit (102) comprising,
a fuel pump holder (108) having a rotator mechanism to be co-operable with the fuel pump housing (106), wherein a rotator mechanism is to rotatably move the fuel pump holder (108) in one of a clockwise and an anticlockwise direction; and
a filter slider (112) movably coupled to the fuel filter (110), wherein a filter slider (112) comprises a translator mechanism to move the fuel filter (110) with respect to the fuel pump holder (108) in one of a first and second translational direction.
a locking mechanism operably coupled to the rotator mechanism and the translator mechanism to immovably secure the fuel pump holder (108) and the filter slider (112) after being moved into a predefined position.
6. The movable assembly (100) as claimed in claim 5, wherein said rotator mechanism and said translator mechanism is operably coupled to a locking mechanism for immovably securing the fuel pump holder (108) and the filter slider (112) after being moved into a predefined position.
7. The movable assembly (100) as claimed in claim 5, wherein the rotator mechanism comprises a rotator locking mechanism having a plurality of rotator meshing projection (122) configured to cooperate and mesh with a plurality of rotator locking portion (120) on the fuel pump housing (106).
8. The movable assembly (100) as claimed in claim 5, wherein the translator
mechanism comprises a translator locking mechanism, the translator locking
mechanism comprising:
a locking channel (204) having a plurality of translator locking portion (202); and
a slider (114) including a base (306) configured to move inside a locking channel (204), the base (306) having a plurality of translator meshing projection (302); wherein the plurality of translator meshing projection (302) are configured to engage and disengage with the translator locking portion (202) in the locking channel (204).
9. A two-wheeler comprising the fuel tank (500), the fuel pump assembly, and the movable assembly (100) as claimed in any one of the claims 1 to86.
10. A three-wheeler comprising the fuel tank (500), the fuel pump assembly, and the movable assembly (100) as claimed in any one of the claims 1 to 8.
