Abstract: A Multi-application smart container embodied in this invention contains a lid that shall be opened horizontally upon detection of a user nearby to it. The sensor positioned at the outer lower part of the container detects the user to open the lid of the container automatically. The electronic circuitry placed inside the lower part of the container, consists of the sensing unit, control unit, processing unit and memory unit, that takes care of operating the motor for open/closure of the lid of the container. The motor positioned at the upper rear part of the container rotates to open the lid horizontally. The opening of the lid shall also be controlled using an IOT based system.
Description:The embodiment disclosed in Figure 1 is a multi application smart container. Figure 2 disclose the block schematic of the control and processing unit of the smart container. The multi application smart container 100 disclosed in figure 1 is used to store materials in it. The opening lid 104 of the container opens automatically in two ways. The lid 104 can be opened by controlling the rotation of motor 101 in clockwise direction. The motor rotation is initiated either upon detection of humans by ultrasonic sensor 103 placed on the lower front of the container or generating a control signal using IOT through the mobile phone of the user. Once the lid is opened the container body 102 shall be used based on requirement. The lid will remain open for 30 seconds and then motor 101 will automatically rotate in anticlockwise direction to close the lid 104.
The block schematic shown in Figure 2 comprises ultrasonic sensor unit 201, memory unit 202, control unit 203 and processing unit 204 placed inside the lower part of the container 100 and closely connected to ultrasonic sensor 103. The opening and closure of the lid 104 is controlled by two ways; one upon detection of humans by an ultrasonic sensor 103 closely connected to ultrasonic sensor unit 201 and another way by the cell phone 205 of the user using IOT 206 based control. The electronic circuitry 200 mounted inside the lower part of the container 100 consists of a sensing unit 201, memory unit 202, control unit 203 and processing unit 204. The ultrasonic sensor 103, senses the human and generates an input signal to control the unit 203. The processing unit 204 receives this information and a program stored in the memory unit 202 is executed to operate the motor 101 placed at the upper rear portion of the container 100. The control signal to operate this motor 101 is also generated by the mobile phone 205 of the user. The mobile phone 205 communicates to the processing unit 204, using IOT 206. Upon receipt of IOT 206 signal, the processing unit 204 executes the program to operate the motor 101 for opening and closing of the lid 104. The lid 104 then opens horizontally parallel to the platform by rotating the motor 101 in the clockwise direction and rotates in anticlockwise direction to close the lid 104 after 30 seconds of usage. , Claims:I/We Claim:

a cylindrical container wherein: an ultrasonic sensor mounted at bottom of container senses a person using the unit; an electronic circuitry containing Control unit, processing unit and memory unit controls the motor rotation to open the lid horizontally.

the electronic circuitry containing Control unit, processing unit and memory unit also controls the motor rotation using IOT to open the lid horizontally.
