Abstract: ABSTRACT MULTI DIRECTIONAL ROLLER CONVEYOR The instant invention relates to multi-directional conveyor means, particularly to multi directional roller systems for conveying of items in forward/ reverse direction or in transverse directions. An object of the invention to provide a multi directional roller conveyors for conveying of items in forward/ reverse direction also aid movement on transverse direction. To meet the objects of the invention it is disclosed here multi directional roller conveyors for conveying of items in forward/ reverse direction also aid movement on transverse direction. Multi directional conveyors are constructed with roller modules formed by mounting required number of multi directional wheels on a free rotating center shaft. DESC:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The instant invention relates to a multi-directional conveyor means, particularly to multi directional roller systems for conveying of items in forward/ reverse direction or in transverse directions.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Various process lines in warehouses such as quality checking, inspection, segregation, kitting and packing, etc., will require manual interactions with items, packing material devices also with branch main conveyor lines conveys items across the processes.

Gravity and powered roller conveyors are widely used as branch and main conveyors considering manual interactions and application requirements.

Manual operations interactions on conveyors require multi directional movement on process tables also on conveyors for ergonomic operations with better productivity.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
An object of the invention to provide a multi directional roller conveyors for conveying of items in forward/ reverse direction also aid movement on transverse direction.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
To meet the objects of the invention it is disclosed here multi directional roller conveyors for conveying of items in forward/ reverse direction also aid movement on transverse direction.

Multi directional conveyors are constructed with roller modules formed by mounting required number of multi directional wheels on a free rotating center shaft.
The conveyors are completely modular with configurable pitch of the roller modules also the wheels based on the property & dimensions of the items conveyed and the gap required for smooth flow. Based on application requirement the roller modules are free rotatable for using as gravity conveyor also they can be connected using belts/chains and driven by motors.

The multi directional roller conveyor conveys in forward/reverse direction and free rotating top rollers of the wheel aid transvers movement of the item/SKU to help reducing the effort required by the operators with better ergonomics.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig.1 shows the image of the roller module.
Fig.2 shows the image of 3D view of the multi directional roller conveyor.
Fig.3 shows the images of the top and the side views of the conveyor moving an item.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Referring to FIGs 1, a multi directional roller module (100) is disclosed which is made with a free rotating shaft (1) and required number of multi directional wheels (2) placed at defined intervals. The center shaft and end fixing components (3) are designed as bearing joints to aid free rotational movement of the module together with shaft and wheels reference to the fixing components. The fixing components (3) provided at both the ends are designed to get fastened on conveyor frames. Free rotating small rollers (4) around the top circular surface of the wheels aid the transvers movement and reduces effort required to move/ rotate the items.

The multi directional roller conveyor formed by serial mountings of roller modules at defined interval as shown in the Fig.2. The roller modules are fastened at structural frames (5) of the conveyor through the fixing components provided at both the ends of the module. Required pitch/ intervals of the roller modules are defined based on the property & dimensions of the items to be conveyed. Mounting roller modules with closer pitch with reduced gaps are possible by offsetting the wheel placements of the modules which are merely not possible on conventional roller conveyors.

The multi directional conveyors are categorized as gravity, powered conveyor also a conveying line with combination of both gravity & powered sections as per application/ process requirement. In a gravity conveyor, the roller modules and small transverse rollers free rotates aiding moving items in required directions easily with moving items in required directions easily with reduced effort. In powered conveyor, the roller modules are interconnected using belts/ chains and driven with motor for automatically moving the items in forward/ reverse direction also allowing manual transverse movements with minimal effort.

The multi directional gravity conveyor is useful in process such as quality checking, inspection, segregation, kitting and packing, etc., where operator will require to push/ pull/ drag/ rotate/ move the items in multiple directions. It is also useful in end of conveying line accumulations. Multi directional powered conveyor is useful in automatic conveying with frequent/ multiple manual interaction points for the operators to load or retrieve. Multi directional roller conveyors with the ability to convey also aid transvers movements it helps improving ergonomics, reduces overall effort & time required to perform operations.

Advantages
• Multi directional roller module and conveyors are simple, modular and scalable as per application requirements.
• Mountable with lesser gaps by offsetting the wheel is a greater advantage over conventional rollers to help conveying mote verities of items/ SKUs require lesser gaps.
• Multi directional roller conveyor with its smooth flow and reduced effort in various warehousing & manufacturing processes increases overall productivity and throughput of the operations.
,CLAIMS:We Claim:

1. A multi directional roller module (100) comprising of a plurality of multi directional wheels (2) coupled to a plurality of free rotating shaft (1) rotatably connected to end fixing components (3) at each end of the shaft, the end fixing components adapted to be fixed to side frames.

2. The multi directional roller module (100) as claimed in claim 1 wherein the multi directional wheels comprises of two identical disks with a plurality of holders for placing and sandwiching rollers; and a plurality of rollers (4) to be sandwiched between the two identical disks without any gap and junction points for roller connections.

3. A multi directional roller conveying system comprising of a plurality of multi directional roller modules (100) claimed in Claim 1 the roller modules are fixed to side structural frames (5) at definite intervals.

4. The multi directional roller conveying system as claimed in Claim 3, wherein the pitch/ intervals of the roller modules are defined based on the property and dimensions of the items to be conveyed.

5. The multi directional roller conveying system as claimed in Claim 3, wherein the roller modules are free rotatable for using as gravity conveyor also can be driven by motors by connecting using chains/ belts
