BACKGROUND
[0002] Now a days, in urban environment, problems of parking a vehicle is arising. Many people who don't have proper parking place, park their vehicles roadside or wherever possible. In such scenario, the vehicle parked roadside/outside without a proper shed, may get exposed to adverse weather conditions. For example, temperature in summer reaches at very high level, that may damage the vehicle. The damage that extreme heat may cause to the vehicle may reach to the vehicle's battery. The battery inside the vehicle contains water and acid. When the heat reaches the battery, temperature of the battery starts to rise and water inside it evaporates fast and leaves lead plates exposed. When the temperature drops, the battery will no longer be able to start the vehicle's engine again. Moreover, the extreme heat may affect the gas, the gas evaporates quickly in hot vehicles. Leaving the vehicle in unshaded parking may cause the heat to rise more inside the vehicle. Heat inside the vehicle will be more than outside the vehicle. This heat may cause death to babies or pets, also may cause fainting to adults.
[0003] Further, it is observed in the past that if the vehicle is left for a long time in a garage or in a parking lot, small insects/reptiles/rodents may intrude into engine compartment and cabin of the vehicle and hatches their eggs forming a big colony. These small insects/reptiles/rodents spoil engine as well as all the electrical fitting and tear off all the upholstery inside the cabin of the vehicle.
[0004] Accordingly, the present disclosure primarily provides a multi¬purpose collapsible shed for sheltering the vehicle at any place and may also be utilized for human outdoor shelter applications.

[0032] Referring now to the drawings, and more particularly to FIGS. 1 through 5.
[0033] The present disclosure relies on the concept of mechanically driven multi-purpose collapsible shed that is portable and covers a vehicle fully from top to bottom.
[0034] FIG. 1 illustrates a perspective view of a multi-purpose collapsible shed (100) deployed at a location. FIG. 2 illustrates a perspective view of the multi-purpose collapsible shed (100) that may collapse in a vertical direction and in a horizontal direction. FIG. 3 illustrates a side view of the multi-purpose collapsible shed (100) deployed on a vehicle. FIG. 4 illustrates a top view of the multi-purpose collapsible shed (100) deployed on the vehicle. FIG. 5 illustrates a back view of the multi-purpose collapsible shed (100) deployed on the vehicle.
[0035] The multi-purpose collapsible shed (100) comprises a collapsible frame (100a), a plurality of vertical telescopic rods (102), a plurality of horizontal telescopic rods (104), a set of semi-circular plates (106a, 106b), a top layer (108), a plurality of primary pin joints (110), a plurality of secondary pin joints (112) and a bottom layer (not shown).
[0036] The set of semi-circular plates (106a, 106b) may be made from aluminium. Alternatively, the set of semi-circular plates (106a, 106b) may be made from any other suitable material. The set of semi-circular plates (106a, 106b) comprises a plurality of primary pin joint sections. The set of semi-circular plates (106a, 106b) may include two semi-circular plates. Alternatively, the set of semi-circular plates (106a, 106b) may include any number of semi-circular plates. Each semi-circular plate of the set of semi-circular plates (106a, 106b) is placed exactly opposite to each other.
[0037] The collapsible frame (100a) has the plurality of vertical telescopic rods (102), wherein each of the plurality of vertical telescopic rods (102) has holes at both ends. The plurality of vertical telescopic rods (102) is converged and locked at the set of semi-circular plates (106a, 106b) using the holes. The plurality of vertical telescopic rods (102) forms the plurality of primary pin joints (110) with the set of
semi-circular plates (106a, 106b) at the plurality of primary pin joint sections. This arrangement of the plurality of vertical telescopic rods (102) with the set of semi-circular plates (106a, 106b) allows the collapsible frame (100a) to rotate 180 degree (i.e., angular collapsing) either in a clockwise direction (120) or in a counter clockwise direction on an axis (126) that is going through centres of the set of semi¬circular plates (106a, 106b) (as shown in FIG. 2). Further, the plurality of vertical telescopic rods (102) retracts and expands in a direction (124) and enable the collapsible frame (100a) for vertical collapsing. The open ends of each of the plurality of vertical telescopic rods (102) are utilized to accommodate the plurality of horizontal telescopic rods (104). The plurality of horizontal telescopic rods (104) is placed between the open ends of the plurality of vertical telescopic rods (102) and attached using the holes and forms the plurality of secondary pin joints (112). This arrangement of the plurality of horizontal telescopic rods (104) placed between the open ends of the plurality of vertical telescopic rods (102) allows the collapsible frame (100a) to be retracted or expanded (i.e., horizontal collapsing) towards an axis (128) in a direction (122) (as shown in FIG. 2). The plurality of vertical telescopic rods (102) and the plurality of horizontal telescopic rods (104) are made from fiber glass material that makes them durable and light and their collapsing feature allows them for greater portability.
[0038] The collapsible frame (100a) that is formed with the arrangement of the set of semi-circular plates (106a, 106b), the plurality of vertical telescopic rods (102) and the plurality of horizontal telescopic rods (104) as explained above has the top layer (108). The top layer (108) acts as a cover for the plurality of vertical telescopic rods (102) and the plurality of horizontal telescopic rods (104). That is, the top layer (108) acts as the cover over the collapsible frame (100a). The top layer is a polymer sheet or a nylon sheet either permanently fixed to or removably detachable from the collapsible frame (100a). The top layer (108) may be attached with a Velcro arrangement or glued to the collapsible frame (100a) in such a way that it covers the collapsible frame (100a) from top and vertical sides (as shown in FIGs 3-5). The top layer (108) adapts to the angular collapsing, the vertical collapsing and the horizontal
collapsing of the collapsible frame (100a). The collapsible frame (100a) has the bottom layer that is detachable. The detachable bottom layer (not shown in FIGs) is attached at the bottom of the collapsible frame (100a) with a zipper locking mechanism (130). The detachable bottom layer may be made from synthetic leather or sports leather. Alternatively, the detachable bottom layer may be made from any other suitable material.
[0039] The collapsible frame (100a) with the top layer (108) and the bottom layer forms the multi-purpose collapsible shed (100) for a vehicle (132). The vehicle (132) is parked on the bottom layer and the collapsible frame (100a) having the top layer (108) deployed over the vehicle from one end to another. The multi-purpose collapsible shed (100) in deployed state over the vehicle (132) is shown in FIGs 3-5. The top layer (108) provides an exclusive inner environment to the vehicle (132) and acts as a barrier between outer environment and the inner environment. The top layer protects the vehicle (132) from dust, rain and sunlight. The collapsible frame (100a) forms a rigid structure along with the top layer (108) and may withstand strong winds. The bottom layer with the zipper locking mechanism (130) completely pack the whole body including underside of the vehicle and protects it from insects/reptiles/rodents intrusion and water lying on roads. The top layer and the bottom layer form an envelope for the vehicle. The multi-purpose collapsible shed (100) is locked under the weight of the vehicle. The multi-purpose collapsible shed (100) when deployed has a maximum height (114) of about 2661.5 mm, has a maximum length (118) of about 5233 mm and has a maximum width (116) of about 2434 mm. When not deployed over the vehicle, the multi-purpose collapsible shed (100) may be collapsed and folded. The ability of the angular collapsing, the vertical collapsing and the horizontal collapsing of the collapsible frame (100a) makes the multi-purpose collapsible shed (100) portable and compact.
[0040] Advantageously, the multi-purpose collapsible shed provides full protection to the vehicle from outer environment including insects/reptiles/rodents intrusion. Because of multiple collapsing arrangements (i.e. angular collapsing, vertical collapsing and horizontal collapsing), the multi-purpose collapsible shed can
fit almost anywhere like in a car or under car boot space. They are also easy to pack in carry-on luggage or backpacks. The multi-purpose collapsible shed not only used as vehicle shelter but also may use as an outdoor tent for camping activities or picnic by humans. The multi-purpose collapsible shed provides a portable shade cover for sheltering vehicles from over exposure to the sun and for sheltering humans from damaging sunlight when engaged in outdoor activities. Keeping the vehicle in shade will prevent the gas from evaporation thereby improving the fuel economy of the vehicle.
[0041] The various actions, acts, blocks or steps may be performed in the order presented, in a different order or simultaneously. Further, in some embodiments, some of the actions, acts, blocks, steps, or the like may be omitted, added, modified, skipped, or the like without departing from the scope of the disclosure.
[0042] The foregoing description of the specific embodiments will so fully reveal the general nature of the embodiments herein that others can, by applying current knowledge, readily modify and/or adapt for various applications such specific embodiments without departing from the generic concept, and, therefore, such adaptations and modifications should and are intended to be comprehended within the meaning and range of equivalents of the disclosed embodiments. It is to be understood that the phraseology or terminology employed herein is for the purpose of description and not of limitation.
