Multifunctional Pellets For Drug Delivery In Chronic Wounds, Kits And Methods Thereof
Abstract: ABSTRACT MULTIFUNCTIONAL PELLETS FOR DRUG DELIVERY IN CHRONIC WOUNDS, KITS AND METHODS THEREOF The present disclosure relates to a composite cement composition comprising calcium sulphate, or hydrates thereof; and a functionalized biocompatible polymer, for sustained drug delivery to wounds. The composition as disclosed herein may be in the form of a multifunctional pellet and has inherent antibacterial properties. The present disclosure further provides kits and methods that facilitate personalized treatment of wounds.
