Abstract: Accordingly, a natural gas and smoke alarm system based on internet of things (IOT) is disclosed. A natural gas and smoke alarm system based on internet of things (IOT) comprising of; registration of user with the database of the website; detecting the hazardous gases (if any) by sensors; sending the sensor values to the database for collecting and analyzing the data; interfacing the sensors with microcontroller to read the gas values from time to time; producing an alarm sound when the gas leakage has been detected; and alerting concerned authority about the condition through SMS using GSM module and an email.
Claims:WE CLAIM:
1) A natural gas and smoke alarm system based on internet of things (IOT) comprising of;
a. Registration of user with the database of the website;
b. Detecting the hazardous gases (if any) by sensors;
c. Sending the sensor values to the database for collecting and analyzing the data.
d. Interfacing the sensors with microcontroller to read the gas values from time to time;
e. Producing an alarm sound when the gas leakage has been detected;
f. Alerting concerned authority about the condition through SMS using GSM module and an email.
2)The natural gas and smoke alarm system based on internet of things (IOT) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said gas sensors are attached to microcontroller, an alarm sound is produced when the gas leakage has been detected.
3) The natural gas and smoke alarm system based on internet of things (IOT) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said system alerts concerned authority about the condition through SMS using GSM module and an email is sent.
4) The natural gas and smoke alarm system based on internet of things (IOT) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said sensor values are sent to the database for collecting and analyzing the data.
5) The natural gas and smoke alarm system based on internet of things (IOT) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said sensor interfaced with microcontroller reads the gas values from time to time.
6) The natural gas and smoke alarm system based on internet of things (IOT) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the said sensors reads the temperature and humidity values in the room and are passed to microcontroller which forwards it to database for analysis and prediction.

The present invention relates to a smoke alarm system. The present invention more particularly relates to a natural gas and smoke alarm system based on internet of things (IOT).
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
Liquid Petroleum Gas is used on a large scale for domestic and industrial purposes. Main constituents of LPG are propane and butane. The proportion of these gases varies according to applications. These gases are highly flammable and if not used carefully they can be dangerous and lethal. LPG is an odorless gas, hence leakage detection of this gas cannot be detected via smell. Leakage detection and location is one of the major concerns of homeowner all over the world. Proper management of the consequences and an effective risk minimization can be done by timely evaluation and proper response to leakage. The traditional gas leakage detectors are not more concern about the safety of people.
IOT is an important part of the new generation of information technology, which uses a local network or the Internet and other communication technologies the sensors, controllers, machines, and the like personnel new ways associated together to form objects, things associated with the phase, information technology, remote control and intelligent network management.
Now, whether ordinary type (such as residential) or Luxury (such as high-rise hotels) in high-rise buildings, are increasing emphasis on the universal application of the fire and security technology. Because of its multi-floor, crowded, in case of fire, evacuation difficulties, but also to remedy the difficulties will inevitably result in heavy casualties and property losses. Fire Department statistics show that in all the fire than the column, the home fire has accounted for about 30% of the fire. To investigate the characteristics of home fires and fire prevention measures, practical significance for the prevention of domestic fires, reduce fire losses.
The present system uses IOT and gives us a way to detect gas leakage as well as take proper measures for providing safety to users. IOT is a network of physical devices embedded with different types of sensors and actuators and via internet connectivity is able to exchange and collect data. It goes beyond machine to machine communications to make use of variety of protocols, applications and domains. It helps in making applications which are cost efficient.
In order to detect early and for notification of fires, to prevent and reduce fire hazards, the protection of personal and property safety, effective measures should be taken in order to avoid the accident and to ensure industrial safety and security of family life.
Gas Leakages in open or closed areas can prove to be dangerous and lethal. The traditional Gas Leakage Detector Systems though have great precision, fail to acknowledge a few factors in the field of alerting the people about the leakage.
Meanwhile, with the development and use of natural gas, emit flammable gases in the workplace and people's daily lives, and therefore continuous, direct detection working environment and living environment of flammable gas has an extremely important significance.
In order to solve the difficult problem of smoke was discovered, can be found in the first time of the gas leak, to avoid more accidents, So there is a need for a natural gas and smoke alarm system based on the Internet of Things.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:
The main object of the present invention is to provide a natural gas and smoke alarm system based on the Internet of Things.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a system to avoid more accidents.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a gas leakage system with Database logging and Prediction having Smart Alerting techniques involving sending text message and an email to the concerned authority.
Other objects and benefits of the present invention will be more apparent from the following description, which is not intended to bind the scope of the present invention.

The present invention is a natural gas and smoke alarm system based on internet of things (IOT).The present invention provides a system to avoid more accidents. The present invention is a gas leakage system with Database logging and Prediction having Smart Alerting techniques involving sending text message and an email to the concerned authority.
In one embodiment, the present invention analyzes the data stored in the database. The present invention predicts whether gas leak will occur or not with the values provided by the user. The present invention monitors the surroundings continuously and prevents the further leakage of gas in the environment to minimize the chances of fire. Thus user can take immediate action upon leakage occurs to prevent the conditions becoming worst.
In another embodiment, hazardous gas leaks are detected by sensors and to alert people when a dangerous gas is detected. The gas sensors are attached to microcontroller, an alarm sound is produced when the gas leakage has been detected. It will alert concerned authority about the condition through SMS using GSM module and an email is sent. The sensor values are sent to the database for collecting and analyzing the data.
The sensors interacts with gas to measure its concentration and is suitable for detecting LPG, town gas and natural gas. The sensor interfaced with microcontroller reads the gas values from time to time. The Sensors are digital temperature and humidity sensor which gives out a digital signal on data pin. It reads the temperature and humidity values in the room. These values are passed to microcontroller which forwards it to database for analysis and prediction. It also sends activation signals to the attached modules like GSM Module, LED and Buzzer for further operations. It sends the sensed values to database for analysis and prediction via its inbuilt WiFi.
Buzzer: It is an audio signaling device which generates audio at the frequency assigned to it. It will start buzzing at the given frequency to alert the neighbors about the leakage. GSM unit: GSM modem with standard communication interfaces like serial port, USB, etc. so that it can be easily interfaced with a computer or microprocessor or microcontroller based system. It also sends alert SMS to the consumer and concerned authority regarding the gas leak. When the gas leakage is detected and microcontroller sends activation signal, the LED is turned on and glow.
User interface is used for interacting with database: Basic webpage helps the user to view the sensor values stored in the database. The stored values can be used for further analysis and prediction.
Database analysis: Analysis can be done using graphs which uses the sensor values stored in database. It can provide information about the reaction of gas at particular temperature and humidity. The use of IoT components will reduce the cost of system to a greater extent which will make it less expensive than the traditional Gas detector systems. The system also notifies the consumer and concerned authority about the leakage with the help of SMS and Email.IN the whole process, user first registers himself/herself with the database of the website.
