Near Infrared Pulsed Light Source And Terahertz Wave Generation Device

Abstract: A near infrared pulsed light source 10A comprises: a first near infrared light source 11 that radiates near infrared laser light that is a continuous wave that has a wavelength that is longer than 1240 nm; and a pulse modulator that uses a pulse to modulate the near infrared laser light from the first near infrared light source 11 and emits, as first near infrared light, near infrared pulsed light that has a pulse width of no more than 1 nanosecond and an extinction ratio of at least the value obtained by adding 10 dB to a pulse duty ratio (dB) that is the ratio of the pulse width and the pulse period.
