Abstract: Provided are a negative electrode, a method for manufacturing same, and a lithium secondary battery including same, the negative electrode comprising: a negative electrode current collector; and a negative electrode active material layer including a lower layer region which is positioned on at least one surface of the negative electrode current collector and includes a first active material and a first binder polymer, and an upper layer region which is positioned on the lower layer region and includes a second active material and a second binder polymer, wherein the first active material comprises primary particles of artificial graphite, the second active material comprises secondary particles of artificial graphite and a carbon coating layer positioned on the secondary particles, and the wt% of the first binder polymer in the lower layer region is greater than the wt% of the second binder polymer in the upper layer region.
