FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[0001) The present invention relates to a waste fibre collection arrangement in a textile spinning preparatory machines. This invention is particularly related to noil collection arrangement provided in a textile fibre combing machine.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[O0§2] In general the known textile fibre combing machine comprises a plurality of combing heads in which the elements like combing cylinder, a nipper apparatus, a top comb and a pair of detaching rollers are being mounted. During combing operation, the fibre web is being combed by the rotating combing cylinder in order to remove the short fibres from it. Such short fibres which are removed during combing action are called as noil.
[0003] Depending upon the staple length of the processing fibres, the percentage of noil removal can be fixed. Said noil quantity can be adjusted by varying the detaching distance, nipper gauge setting etc. After ensuring the desired setting parameters, the machine will be allowed to run continuously to deliver the combed sliver of desired quality. Noil checking is carried out to ensure that the machine is at required operating condition. In the known combing machines (1) as shown in Figure 1 & 2, the noils of individual nipping heads has to be collected at each combing heads (2) and to be added for assessing the total noil percentage. Alternatively, all the noils can be collected at single point where the noil collection area is enclosed by suction box (3) to which all suction ducts of the combing machine is connected. The operator could access the noil collection box (4) from rear side of the machine. To perform this action, the operator has to bend and enter in to the narrow gap of suction box for every noil collection checking.

[GO04] As the noil setting/checking process involves few iterations and the noil percentage directly impact cost of the process, the operator fatigue of this Iteration process Is to be reduced for achieving the required optimisation. Moreover the existing arrangement comprises a single 90 degree bent duct arrangement with a open-close setup for noil checking. This Is provided In the adjacent region of the suction duct (5) thereby occupies considerable amount of space. Due to the more space occupation, the existing arrangement does not meet the requirement of saving the floor space.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
[0005] The object of the present invention is to provide an easy accessible noil collection arrangement in a textile combing machine.
[§§§6] Yet another object of the present Invention Is to provide a noil collection arrangement for textile fibre combing machine which consumes less floor space.

[00019] Figure-3 of the drawing Illustrates the explicit view of the noil collection box as per the manner of execution according to the present invention.
BET AILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[§0020] The present invention relates to a textile combing machine which is provided with at least a gearing unit, at least a delivery unit and a plurality of combing units (also referred to as "combing heads" hereinafter) which are arranged In series along the machine. The comber fibre fleece coming out from each head Is condensed as sliver and travelled along the table of the machine. The sliver Is drafted by a drafting unit provided at the delivery unit of the machine and then Is colled and stored In a sliver can.
[00021] According to the present Invention, a noil collection arrangement for the combing machine includes at least one combing head, where the noil is generated, a main duct to extract the noil from plurality of combing heads and to transport the extracted noil further, a centralized suction duct to which all the suction ducts from various parts of the combing machine connected together and at least a noil collection box which is provided between the main duct and centralized suction duct wherein the noil collection box is accessible from the delivery unit side. Since the space is provided for placing the reserve sliver can at the delivery unit side, the machine operator can easily access the noil collection box without any hindrance.

[00022] FIgure-3 of the drawings Illustrates the combing machine and its corresponding noil collection arrangement according to the present invention. The combing machine includes at least a gearing unit (7) where the machine drive and transmission arrangement is provided. The plurality of combing units (6) which are arranged in series along the machine length to comb the supplied fibre sheet from the lap roll. A sliver delivery unit (8) is provided where the collected combed sliver Is drafted by a drafting unit and then colled and stored In a sliver can (9). The sliver delivery unit (8) further Includes a space or platform (15) to accommodate the reserve can (10) for subsequent filling. The noil collection box (11) and centralized suction duct (12) is provided between the plurality of combing heads (6) and sliver delivery unit (8).
[§0023] The front, plan and side view of the noil duct arrangement to collect noil from the individual combing heads (6) of the combing machine is shown in Figure-4. The centralized duct arrangement (12) Is arranged In such a way that the duct Is with at-least two angular bends for a space effective machine layout. The first angular bend is provided between main suction duct (13) and centralized duct (12). The second bend is formed within the centralized duct (12) but next to the noil collection box (11). The angular bends are preferably 90 degree with respect to the corresponding connecting duct axis. To the main suction duct (13), the noil and fluff collecting arrangement of the corresponding individual combing heads (6) are connected. By using suitable connecting methods, the centralized collecting duct (12) is coupled with the main duct (13) and drafting unit suction ducts (not shown). The further possible embodiment of the invention (not shown) may inlcude a branch of noil collecting ducts from plurality of combing machines are connected to the centralized duct (12) arrangement accordingly.
[00024] The main suction duct (13) collects the noil from the Individual combing heads (6) and transfers the collected noil to the centralized duct (12). An open-close arrangement for noil collection box (11) is provided In the main duct (13) at a region In between the last noil collecting point and the central duct joining point for checking the amount of noil extracted at the required point of

time. Said open-ciose arrangement for noil checking is provided in the horizontal or vertical face of the said main duct (13) before the centralized duct (12) joining point. The noil extraction will be carried out by inserting a filter mesh bag in the noil collection box (11) whenever required. Part of the main duct (13) may be arranged approximately perpendicular to the drive shafts from gearbox at one end of the combing machine. As an embodiment, the above said perpendicular part of the duct may be provided under a gear box or at-least partially.
[00025] The noil collection box (11) being arranged such that it can be accessed from reserve can area as shown in Figure-5 of the drawings. A handle is provided to open or take out the noil collection box (11) which can accommodate a filter mesh for holding the collected noil in it but to allow only the suction flow. As there is no enclosure, the operator (14) can easily access the area. While checking the noil the machine can be made to run with out reserve can. This duct arrangement reduces the length of the machine due to the noil checking setup arranged in the vertical face of the duct (13). The noil checking bag is inserted from sideways but as a further embodiment, it may be inserted from top.
[00026] In the above detailed description, reference is made to the accompanying drawings that form a part thereof, and illustrate the best mode presently contemplated for carrying out the invention. However, such description should not be considered as any limitation of scope of the present invention. The structure thus conceived in the present description is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all the details may furthermore be replaced with elements having technical equivalence. In practice, the materials and dimensions may be any according to the requirements, which will still be comprised within its true spirit. The embodiments shown herein are only exemplary.
