We Claim:
1. A non-contact phono-cardiology measurement device (100) comprising of: an interferometer module (102) comprising of:
a laser source (112) to emit a radiation;
a speckle generator (118) wherein the radiation is projected
through the speckle generator (118) generating a plurality of
speckle pattern;
a detector array (114) to receive reflected speckled pattern;
and
a beat start detector (116); an acoustic module (104) comprising of:
a horn (122) made of a material having porosity and
configured to reduce velocity of sound;
a microphone array (124) provided at a narrow end of the
horn (122);
at least one variable band pass filter (126) whose central
frequency is controlled to match a detected heart sound;
an analogue to digital converter (128);
a beamformer (130); and
a processing unit (132) to process a signal received from the
microphone array (124); a display unit (106); and
a control unit operatively connected to the interferometer module (102), the acoustic module (104) and the display unit (106).
2. The measurement device (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the interferometer module (102) detects a set of micro-vibrations produced due to a heartbeat of a human body.
3. The measurement device (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the laser source (112) is a continuous wave laser.
4. The measurement device (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the beat start detector (116) configured to detect the heartbeat in response to a signal received from said detector array (114).
5. The measurement device (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said speckle generator (118) employs a light modulator technique that modifies the radiation emitted from the laser source (112), and is configured to generate a speckle pattern of light.
6. The measurement device (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein said horn (122) is preferably made of a reflecting material and is filled with a silicone material having varying porosity in such a way that velocity of sound reduces from 330 m/s to 60 m/s while maintaining impedance matching between air and silicone material.
7. The measurement device (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the microphone array (124) is configured to detect an acoustic wave transmitted from a heart of the human body.
8. The measurement device (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the microphone array (124) are patterned to form a beam at the heart region of the human body via the beamformer (130) of the acoustic module (104).
9. The measurement device (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the central frequency of said variable band pass filter (126) is increased and decreased in accordance with a heart cycle, in order to match the detected heart sound.
10. The measurement device (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein a S1 peak of the heart sound is determined via the interferometer module (102).
