Abstract: This non-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet has a prescribed chemical composition, wherein one or more particles formed from a precipitate of one or more kinds of sulfides or oxysulfides selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Ce, La, Nd, Pr, Zn, and Cd or a precipitate of both a sulfide and an oxysulfide and having a particle diameter of greater than 0.5 µm are present in a 10000 µm2 visual field, and under observation by means of EBSD in a plane parallel to the surface of the steel sheet, when the entire surface area is Stot, the surface area of {100} orientation particles is S100, the surface area of oriented particles for which the Taylor factor M is greater than 2.8 is Styl, the total surface area of oriented particles for which the Taylor factor M is 2.8 or less is Stra, the average KAM value of the {100} orientation particles is K100, and the average KAM value of the oriented particles for which the Taylor factor M is greater than 2.8 is Ktyl, the inequalities 0.20=Styl/Stot=0.85, 0.05=S100/Stot=0.80, S100/Stra=0.50, and K100/Ktyl=0.990 are satisfied.
