Novel Crystalline Form Of 2 [(R)] (Diphenylmethy1) Sulfinyl Acetamide, Process For Preparing The Same And Use Thereof
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a novel crystalline form of 2-[(R)- (diphenylmethyl)sultinyl]acetamide (Armodafinil), designated as Form X and a process for preparation thereof. Further the present invention provides an improved process for the preparation of pure 2-[(R)-(diphenylmethyl) sultinyl] acetamide Form I from Form X with acid content less than 0.2% and chiral purity more than 99%.
