Abstract: The invention relates to a novel design shock bar guide in an Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) to meet the design requirement with reduced material content and eliminating ash build up, characterized in that a base member of the shock bar guide (4) is size-optimized; a first arm jointed to a first end of the base member at 900 angle, and extending vertically upwardly; and a second arm is joined at a second end of the base member at an acute angle, and extending forwardly to join with the first member at the apex of the formed triangular configuration.
